"Her again!" Dominic didn't even care about Jonah's status in that moment, slamming his hand hard against the nearby table. "If I had known she would cause this much trouble, I never would have let her come back to the country!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, he realized his slip and looked over nervously. Seeing the man's somber face, Dominic forced an awkward smile. "Please check on Amara's condition first, Jonah. As for Vivian... I will handle her."

Jonah shot him a sidelong glance. "See that you do, Mr. Fairchild."

Once they headed upstairs, Dominic's expression darkened drastically.

He always knew his eldest daughter refused to toe the line, but for her to stir up this much endless trouble proved she was exactly like her mother!

If it weren't for the fact that she was the donor for Amara's heart valve transplant...

Swallowing his temper at that thought, Dominic pulled out his phone and dialed Vivian's number.

It rang for a full minute before falling silent.

"She dares ignore my call?!"

Dominic was furious. Just as he was about to dial again, Jonah walked downstairs.

"Mr. Granger..." His expression was a little stiff. "How is Amara?"

After all, they were both his daughters. Making a fool of themselves time and time again in front of this powerful man left him feeling entirely out of his depth.

"She's asleep."

Jonah glanced at the phone in his hand and frowned.

"Did you call Vivian?"

"That girl has always had this kind of temper. She makes a mistake and then avoids everyone... Don't worry, the next chance I get, I'll teach her a harsh lesson!"
