Chapter 211
Chapter 211
The man paused, his grip on his fork tightening slightly in the heavy silence.
His reaction only fueled Amara’s growing suspicions.
She gritted her teeth secretly. Vivian… It was all Vivian’s fault!
But if she could steal a man from that woman once, she could easily do it again. She was just a cripple, after all. The Granger Family would never accept a flawed woman as a daughter-in-law!

Upon arriving at Astra Media, Vivian quickly wrapped up yesterday’s pending tasks before diving into Insignia Group’s cooperative intentions for the new project.
“I heard they’ve already reached out to two other companies, both top-tier in the country. The executives even flew all the way to Northside specifically to meet Charlie Beck, but no one knows what the final outcome is.”
Charlie was incredibly cautious. Until the final decision was made, he wouldn’t leak a single detail.
Vivian checked the date on her phone.
“We can’t just sit around waiting for doom.”
If Charlie had no intention of partnering with Astra Media, waiting would only mean watching someone else pop the champagne.
Zoe instantly understood her meaning. “I’ll go check Mr. Beck’s itinerary right now.”
As soon as she left, Vivian leaned back in her office chair, staring at the ceiling.
Mottled sunlight spilled through the window, casting chaotic shadows across the floor.
She closed her eyes, resting for a long moment before sitting back up.
She unlocked her computer.
Deep within her hard drive lay a heavily encrypted folder. Inside were sensitive files concerning several major clients and… documented illegal operations within their
corporations.
Politely speaking, it was leverage.
Bluntly speaking, it was criminal evidence.
Vivian had stumbled upon it while sorting through her late mother’s belongings. She had no
idea how her mother had acquired such explosive material, but she recognized a few

names-all heavyweight figures in the industry.
If they knew this drive existed, they would hunt her down to the ends of the earth.
Insignia Group.
Though Charlie wasn’t on the list, his company was far from innocent.
Vivian’s expression remained perfectly calm as she clicked her mouse and logged out.
Just then, Zoe pushed the door open.
“Boss, Charlie is staying at his hotel all day today. He hasn’t stepped out once.”
Vivian looked up. “Are you hungry?”
“Huh?”
“It’s time for lunch. Who knows, we might just ‘accidentally’ run into Mr. Beck.”
Turning off her monitor, Vivian stood up.
She wore a sleek, black off-the-shoulder maxi dress that perfectly accentuated her tiny waist and stunning curves. Paired with red-soled stilettos, she looked absolutely breathtaking.
Grabbing her designer handbag from the desk, she headed for the door. “Bring the contract with you. We just might need it.”
“On it,” Zoe said.
They headed downstairs and drove straight to The Sovereign Hotel.
It was the only seven-star luxury hotel currently operating in Northside. The restaurant inside was notoriously reservation-only, making securing a table nearly impossible.
But such rumors were usually just marketing hype to build exclusivity. It was difficult to book, sure, but there wasn’t a problem in the world that a little money couldn’t solve.
With the strategic gift of a high-end designer bracelet, Vivian effortlessly bribed the head concierge into giving her a window seat. It had a perfect vantage point of the entrance, allowing her to monitor everyone coming and going.
Zoe couldn’t help but ask, “Boss, how are you so sure Charlie will actually come down here?”
Vivian took a sip of her sparkling water, her gaze locked on the entryway.
“He’s not familiar with Northside. Most of his meals so far have been arranged by people trying to kiss his ass. Since he has no plans to leave the hotel today, there’s no reason for him to waste time wandering the streets looking for something decent. Besides, doesn’t a restaurant of this caliber match his extravagant tastes?”
Elites always preferred the path of least resistance, and that applied to dining, too.

Just as the words left her mouth, a faint smirk tugged at her lips. She gestured slightly wit
her chin. “Here he comes.”
