Chapter 175
“You have a lot of nerve.”
Grace sneered, her eyes locked onto Vivian’s. “Aren’t you afraid my family and the Fowlers will crush you?”
“Let them try.”
Vivian replied effortlessly. “Haven’t you ever heard the saying?”
“If you’re hell-bent on destroying me, dodging this one trap won’t stop you from setting a dozen more. Why bother fighting a pointless battle? When you have nothing left to lose, you aren’t afraid of the people holding all the cards.”
Though her posture was entirely relaxed, her gaze was razor-sharp. There wasn’t a trace of fear in her.
Was she this fearless because of Silas?
Grace’s breath hitched.
It took her a moment to swallow her surging panic. “You claim Harry tried to assault you, yet here you are, perfectly fine, while he’s lying in a hospital bed. The Fowler family isn’t going to let this slide.”
“Fair enough.”
Vivian nodded simply. “Then we’ll let the legal system handle it.”
Her utter indifference meant she was perfectly prepared for a brutal legal battle.
This blatant disregard infuriated Grace. She glared at the woman across from her, her voice dripping with venom. “You honestly think Silas is going to declare war on both our families just for you? You’ve known him for five minutes! You’re completely delusional.”
“Declare war? Of course not. Aside from the financial fallout, he could never do that to you.”
Vivian agreed, her voice laced with a cool, mocking edge.
“But even so, you’re wrong about one thing.”
“He won’t just stand up for me. The second he hears I’m here, he’s going to send a team of lawyers to bail me out. Want to make a bet?”
Grace refused to believe it.
Yet, the words caught in her throat as a sickening montage of their recent encounters flashed through her mind. Every single time… Vivian had managed to bend Silas to her will.

The color drained from Grace’s face, her composure finally cracking. “Let me tell you
something! Even if Silas bails you out, it’s just out of basic gentlemanly obligation. He is not a reckless man. I know him. If I had to guess, he hasn’t even touched you yet, has he?”
Oh, she was spot on.
Well, mostly.
A wicked glint danced in Vivian’s eyes. “Are you really this obsessed with my sex life? I had no idea you were such a voyeur.”
“You-!”
Grace choked, utterly humiliated.
“Enough.”
Vivian’s playful demeanor vanished in an instant, replaced by a chilling authority. “If you want
a war with me, fine. Tell them to release Zoe. Focus all your fire on me.”
It wasn’t a request; it was a direct order.
“Vivian…”
Grace hissed, practically shaking with rage.
“I genuinely don’t know where you get this delusion of grandeur.”
“I was born with it.”
Vivian stared her down, a vision of icy, lethal beauty-like a crimson rose blooming fearlessly in an avalanche.
“Let me be crystal clear. You cannot break me. The only thing you’re going to achieve today
is slapping another criminal charge onto your precious cousin. Don’t believe me? Let’s make that bet.”
