Chapter 327

Leppold.

The name did something to me; something violent stirred inside of me, and it nearly took my breath away. Suddenly, an image of a face appeared in my mind, a man’s face. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life.

A memory so thick that my entire body started to shake.

A wedding.

A marriage.

A mate.

“Mate!!” I heard the voice in my head, making me yelp, and Mariah’s gaze found mine, her eyes wide and curious. “Mate!! Mate!! Mate!!”

The sound was loud, and a headache so painful coursed through my skull, making me fall back onto the bed. I grabbed my aching temple, crying out in pain as tears burned my eyes.

“Mate is coming for us!!”

More memories… flashes of his face. Leopold. His mate… Sophia. Someone I thought was a friend… a sister even.

My father… Alpha of the Silvermoon pack, choosing his new family over me.

The mother I never got to know.

The baby… my baby. Leopold’s baby.

Each new memory that slammed into me was another headache. It was pain after pain, and I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Darkness cascaded around me; I was aware of both Lucy and Mariah rushing towards me and trying to calm me, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying.

They were trying to get my attention; calling me different things, hoping that I would respond.

Cecilia.

My name was Cecilia.

I could taste blood in my mouth; was it my blood? What was happening to me?!

“Lucy!” I heard Mariah’s voice; she sounded panicked. “You need to get a hold of your mother!! Now!!!”

That was the last thing I heard before everything went black.

Leopold’s POV

Her scent was faint, but Warren could pick up on it almost immiedalty. We were around the borders of the Lycan territory. My worst nightmare was starting to come true; Cecilia had to have ended up in their territory… which meant she was in danger. 1

I had been searching the perimeter for the past hour; Warren was restless.

There was so much I wanted to say to him, but he was too hyperfocused on finding Cecilia. Not that I wasn’t… but

I also hadn’t had a connection with my wolf my entire life, and I wanted to speak to him, to actually hear his voice and get to know him while we searched for her.

But he was refusing to speak to me; I could feel his anger potently clear. It was obvious he blamed me for her kidnapping.

Hell, I blamed me as well.

I let another she-wolf close my eyes to the fact that Cecilia had been my true mate this whole time.

A rustling of leaves drew my attention to the Beta that stepped out of the forest line.

“What business do you have here, Alpha King?” The Beta asked, a couple of his warriors standing beside him, their weapons drawn.

I never thought I would ever end up on this side of the territory, but here I was, unmoving.

“Move.” Warren’s low growl was nothing more than a warning; if they dared block our path, they would destroy him.

I was surprised that Warren could actually speak to them in wolf form; it must be because I am the Alpha King.

“We suggest you turn back and we can pretend we never saw you,” the Beta said, narrowing his eyes. “It would be best for all.”

Suddenly, I felt a presence behind me.

The Beta’s eyes widened at the sight, and he bowed his head, as did the others.

“Lycan King,” the Beta said. “We didn’t know you were here as well.”

Warren turned his head towards Viktor, who came out of the woods behind me in his wolf form. He was huge, though so was Warren. He gave me one look before turning to the Beta.
