Chapter 335
My heart stopped as I looked at him.
“I’m telling the truth. I don’t remember anything!”
“I said that’s enough,” Conrad growled, his eyes blazing red as his wolf surged to the surface.
I didn’t have time to argue before I was grabbed and dragged out of bed.
“Don’t touch her! You’ll hurt her!” The man, Jax, yelled, trying to get to me, but the warriors holding him were too strong, and he couldn’t budge. “Cecilia!”
My heart broke when I heard the desperation in his voice; there was something about it that was familiar, but I couldn’t pinpoint it.
I just wanted my memories back; maybe then I could get out of this alive. But until then, I had to hope they’d believe me soon.
Leopold’s POV
Sophia had tears streaming down her face.
I didn’t feel anything when I saw her, which was proof enough that she wasn’t my true mate. But for now, she didn’t know I was onto her, and I wanted to keep it that way. She would make things difficult for me if she knew
right now.
Sophia had angered the Lycan King by disrespecting his queen; even I couldn’t save her from his wrath.
“My mate,” I said, turning to look at Lycan King Viktor; the words tasted bitter on my tongue, and Warren let out a growl, hating the sound of those words when not referring to our actual mate. “I’m sure she meant no disrespect.”
“She uninvited my wife to your wedding because she accidentally spilled coffee on your mate’s cheap shoes,” Viktor said without missing a beat. “I would call that disrespectful, wouldn’t you, Alpha?”
“Yes,” I said automatically. “And she will be punished accordingly. But I would prefer if we were the ones to deal with our own pack punishments per the laws.”
The corner of Viktor’s lips lifted as he stared at me, his gaze unwavering.
“Then handle it.”
He was waiting to see what I would do… how I would handle it.
I turned to Landon, who was standing nearby, his eyes darting between Viktor and me.
“Go to Lady Sophia’s chambers and take away all the valuables gifted to her,” I ordered, ignoring the way Sophia gasped in shock. “She thinks having expensive items makes her superior; now she will have to earn these items back.”
“Leopold!” She cried, her hands covering her mouth.

“Alpha King,” I corrected, my eyes narrowing at her.
“I’m your future queen,” she said softly, her eyes welling with tears. “Your mate… I thought-”
“I will not have a queen who is disrespectful to our guests,” I said, my eyes never leaving hers. “You are lucky I’m not handing you over to the Lycans themselves and having them punish you. I assure you, you wouldn’t make it out alive.”
Her face paled, and she took a step back.
“And you’ll apologize to the Queen publicly,” I added.
Her bottom lip trembled, but she didn’t argue.
