Chapter 211
She rolled her eyes again and shook her head.
“He didn’t have to go along with it. The fact that he did is enough reason to get rid of him. If he can betray someone he’s been loyal to for so many years… how can I expect him not to betray me at any given chance?”
My entire body was trembling violently, and I had to fight the urge to burst into tears. I couldn’t believe what was hearing… I couldn’t believe what she had done. Did my father know about this? Was he a part of this as well?
I didn’t want to believe it… But I truly wasn’t sure about anything anymore.
“You’re acting like you almost died,” she said with a laugh. “It seems to me that you’re perfectly fine. It was only a little harmless fun.”
Harmless fun?
That’s what she thinks that was?
I still remember his hands grabbing my dress… hearing the fabric ripping, and there was nothing I could do about it. The cold breeze of the air hit my exposed flesh, and his breath on the nape of my neck as he tried to kiss me.
I could still remember the smell of him.
I gagged at the memory, bile rising in my throat once again.
The terror I had calming through me while my body betrayed me because the drug was still fresh in my mind.
Something inside of me snapped at that moment.
“You are insane,” I hissed, my vision blurring with unshed tears. I hated myself for showing this kind of weakness in front of her, but I couldn’t help myself. I was in disbelief and heartbroken over what she had done.
Several servants froze completely: their eyes wide.
Sophia’s smile finally slipped.
“You should watch your mouth,” she said, taking a step closer to me, her fists clenching like she was about to punch me. I almost dared her to.
“Or what?” I snapped, taking a step toward her before I could stop myself. What was I doing? Was I trying to start a fight? I know without a doubt that it would only land me in the dungeons if I tried to start a fight with the future Queen… but I couldn’t help myself. “You’ll send another man after me? Try to get me raped again?”
The room stopped breathing.
For one dangerous moment, I thought Sophia might strike me. Instead, her expression smoothed over again.
“You know what your problem is?” She asked, her tone shifting to something almost upbeat and sweet. “You keep expecting fairness.”
My chest heaved unevenly.
“You think because you’re hurting, someone will eventually save you,” she continued, her gaze sharpening. “But nobody is coming, Cecilia.”
She said that last part in a harsh whisper.

The words hit harder than I wanted them to. Then, she raised her hand, and I braced myself for the blow because I
new it was coming. But what I wasn’t expecting was for her to slap herself across the face.
I stumbled backward, shocked by her extreme actions. She started to hit herself until she was red in the face.
“Does this make you happy, Cecilia?” She asked, her tone turning crazed.
I glanced at the servants who all had their heads down, their own bodies trembling as well.
Sophia clenched her fists, and this time she punched herself in the nose until it gushed with blood. She didn’t stop until she was bruised and bleeding, and my mouth fell open in utter shock at the sight.
She was truly insane.
“Trouble,” Lora panted. “Big trouble. We go.”
I knew she wanted us to run, but before I could even take a step away, Sophia grabbed onto my wrists and tugged me towards her, placing my hands on her face.
