The Alpha King's Mind Reading Maid (Cecilia) novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130

Cecilia’s POV

For a moment, I forgot how to breathe.

His lips were still on mine, warm and firm, stealing every thought from my head before I could make sense of what was happening. My hands had frozen against his chest my fingers curled into the fabric like I needed something to hold onto or 1 might fall apart completely.

This wasn’t Warren.

Not this time at least.

This was King Leopold.

The realization should have made me pull away, feeling a surge of guilt and confusion. It should have stopped this before it began, but my body wasn’t listening to my mind; it didn’t want to stop whatever was happening between us, and Lora didn’t hate it.

In fact, she seemed completely content and in her element, wanting this interaction to keep going just as much as my body did.

Everything somehow felt sharper, more dangerous… more real.

His hand gripped the back of my neck, while the other tightened around my waist, keeping me against him as if he might fall apart if he stopped kissing me. His lips parted, spreading mine as well and giving him just enough leeway to enter my mouth with his tongue.

My chest tightened painfully, but most strangely… it was the best feeling I’ve had in a long time… if ever.

This feeling I felt everywhere, from my head to the tip of my toes.

The way my heart was racing so fast, I was certain he could feel it through my body.

I should stop this… I knew I should… but I didn’t.

He pulled me tighter against him, and I went willingly, unable to stop myself. When his lips pulled away from mine, I knew they were swollen. I was breathless and trying hard to catch my breath as his lips and tongue grazed the nape of my neck, making me shiver against him.

“You’re still injured,” I managed to gasp as he nipped at the edge of my chin with his teeth.

“They will heal,” he said against me, not stopping his torturous exploration of my face and neck with his lips.

His voice was gravely and made my heart skip a beat.

The way he kissed me reminded me of when Warren had kissed me not long ago. It was just as passionate and heated… only this wasn’t Warren. I mean, not technically. It was Leopold.

Or was it?

His lips found mine again, and he kissed me deep and slow like he was trying to understand my fears and doubts, making me feel more emotionally exposed.

His lips found mine again, and he kissed me deep and slow like he had all the time in the world to savor my taste.

My fingers loosened against his chest, shifting slightly as if they had a mind of their own. I felt the steady rise and fall of his breathing beneath my palm, the tension in his muscles, the warmth of his skin.

He wasn’t pulling away, and neither was I.

His lips softened slightly, the intensity shifting into something slower… more deliberate, like he was trying to understand me

instead of claiming me.

Or maybe…

Like he was afraid I might pull away.

He wasn’t pulling away, and neither was I, but inside, I was questioning if this was right, stirring feelings of doubt and vulnerability.

All I knew at this moment was that I wanted him, and that craving felt dangerous, like walking a line I wasn’t sure I should cross.

I wanted so much more.

I felt his hands grazing the side of my body. I forgot that I was still very much wearing a sports bra, so a lot of my flesh was exposed to him. I felt goosebumps rise on my skin, creating a trail from his fingers.
