Still You Still Me Still Falling novel Chapter 63

"I... I..." Pippa wailed in defeat. "But she's completely fine!"

By some twist of fate, Sheila had ended up in Edmond's room.

That wasn't a punishment; it was a reward!

If she had known that would happen, she would have drank the spiked drink herself and climbed into Edmond's bed.

Maybe then... he would have been forced to take responsibility for her.

Seeing the look on her face, Thurston knew exactly what kind of delusional thoughts were running through her head.

He smacked the back of her head. "Pippa!"

She snapped out of it, glanced fearfully at Edmond, and kept her mouth shut.

Edmond turned his sharp gaze to Thurston. "This is the last time. If anything like this ever happens again, we are no longer friends."

Pippa mumbled defensively, "I did it. It has nothing to do with him..."

Thurston hit her again. "Shut up!"

He looked at Edmond. "I admit, I was hoping to play matchmaker for you two before. But now... forget it. I'm sending her back home. I'll make sure she never shows her face in front of you again."

"But—"

"I said shut up!"

Pippa was shipped back immediately.

Thurston was ruthless about it. He transferred her to an ultra-strict, all-girls boarding school—the kind with a completely closed campus.

With her spoiled, arrogant personality, the discipline was going to be torture.

But no matter how much she cried and begged, the family didn't budge.

That was all in the future, of course.

Right now, Thurston could tell that Edmond was genuinely furious.

He truly hadn't expected his own cousin to pull a stunt like that.

After a moment of thought, he said, "I'll go apologize to Sheila on her behalf."

"Don't," Edmond said coldly. "And don't ever go near her again."
