Still You Still Me Still Falling novel Chapter 107

Being around Edmond was awful for Tilly; it was the middle of the night, and he was dragging the poor kid around in his drunken madness.

Sheila was furious at his behavior, but since the child was here, she had no choice but to go down and check on her.

The streetlights downstairs were dim, casting only a blurry outline of a tall silhouette.

She stepped a bit closer. "Edmond?"

"Come here."

Hearing his voice confirmed it, so Sheila approached safely. "Where's Tilly?"

As she got closer, she immediately frowned. "Just how much did you drink?"

The smell of alcohol was overpowering.

"Sheila."

Stopping a safe few yards away, Sheila asked again, "Where's Tilly?"

He had called her name but completely ignored her question.

It was the middle of the night, and Sheila had zero patience to argue with a drunk.

She tried again, "Is Tilly in the car?"

"Yes."

Edmond was standing right by the car door, and he casually pulled it open.

Suspecting nothing, Sheila stepped forward and leaned in. "Tilly... Ah!"

Without warning, Edmond's arm clamped around her waist. A second later, Sheila lost her balance and was shoved face-first onto the back seat of the car.

With a loud slam, the door shut behind her, and a burning hot body pinned her down.

There was no Tilly anywhere!

Sheila scrambled into a sitting position, desperately trying to put distance between herself and Edmond.

"Edmond, you absolute psycho!" Sheila reached blindly for the door handle.

Before she could grab it, her hand was seized.

The dim streetlights barely penetrated the tinted windows, making it impossible to read his expression in the dark.

Sheila's heart hammered in her chest. Fury boiled within her, but beneath the anger, a genuine thread of fear began to take hold.

"What the hell are you doing, Edmond?" She forced herself to stay calm. "Why did you lie to me?"

"Didn't you lie to me?"

Sheila was completely thrown off. "What did I lie to you about?"

"You said you were so busy, that you didn't even have time to eat or sleep, and what happened?" Edmond's voice was sharp as glass. "You were out at a place like that with Cecil Rhodes..."

"I was busy before, I didn't lie to you. I just finished up tonight, and the second I stepped out, I happened to run into you..."

"Do you think I believe that?"
