She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 670

That wasn't the only piece of good news.

A week later, the Sutton family threw a massive wedding to celebrate the marriage of Zane Sutton and Lena Wynter.

Lyra had booked her stylists and makeup artists well in advance. On the day of the wedding, an exclusive sales associate from a luxury brand personally delivered Lyra's gown to Blackwood Manor. The final dress she selected perfectly complimented the style and color palette of Rowan's custom suit.

Even little Pip was dressed in a miniature beige suit complete with a delicate velvet bowtie, looking both adorable and incredibly aristocratic.

After an hour of hair and makeup, Rowan put away his tablet, and the family of three headed to the venue.

Now that Maisie and Zane were getting along, Vivienne had put her grudges aside and embraced her stepson, personally handling the massive affair.

Vivienne owned a prominent entertainment agency with a massive roster of artists, so her stepson's wedding was naturally a star-studded event. More than half the celebrities in the industry showed up, filling the banquet hall with a bustling, glamorous crowd.

The Jameson family car pulled smoothly up to the hotel's main entrance. The area was swarming with reporters and fans. The moment Rowan stepped out carrying Pip, a blinding frenzy of camera flashes erupted.

Rowan gently turned his son's face inward, using his large hand to shield the baby's features from the intrusive lenses.

Lyra walked beside him with a radiant smile.

Before they even reached the grand banquet hall, Maisie lifted the hem of her formal dress and practically jogged down the steps to meet them, beaming. "Lyra! Rowan!"

Lyra's lips curved into a smile as she nodded in greeting.

Maisie led them inside to meet the bride and groom first.

Zane and Lena had visited Blackwood Manor shortly after Pip was born to check on Lyra.

At the time, Lyra had been resting postpartum and knew nothing about it; Rowan had simply taken their gifts and sent them away.

Maisie had mentioned it later, joking that her cousin was insanely possessive.

For their wedding, Lyra had specifically selected a lavish gift far exceeding what they had given her, having the bodyguards deliver it with perfect etiquette.

Rowan, Lyra, and Pip then posed for photos with the newlyweds, capturing a stunning, picture-perfect moment.

As soon as the photos were done, a crowd of elite businessmen swarmed them, eager to network and chat with Rowan.

Rowan wanted to slip away, looking over at Lyra. Lyra waved him off. "It's fine. Andrea and I will grab something to eat. You go do your thing."

Rowan was too big of a target, and Lyra had no desire to be glued to his side the entire time. With that, she headed to her seat to dine.

Catching snippets of gossip from the neighboring tables, Lyra learned that Lena's sister, Sylvia Wynter, hadn't shown up at all, not even for her own sister's big day.

Lyra listened while entertaining Pip.

It was the little guy's first time in such a massive, noisy crowd. His big, dark, grape-like eyes sparkled as they darted around, full of innocent curiosity. He kept tilting his little head left and right, studying the people bustling past.

A little while later, Josie Somerset found her.

[Back in the day, Josie and Jasmine's fans tore each other apart online, but Lyra ended up being the ultimate winner.]

[They were engaged from the start; it was destiny.]

[Their son's name, Pip, is literally a symbol of Rowan holding Lyra close. It's so sweet.]

[With a wife that gorgeous, how is Mr. Jameson willing to let her be seen at a public event?]

[You have to hand it to Mr. Jameson. He really forced his way in, securing his status by heir just to lock her down.]

[Cameraman, get closer! What are they talking about?!]

Josie fell silent for a moment before finally voicing the question that had been buried in her heart for years. "That night by the ocean... you were the one who jumped in and saved Rowan from drowning. Why did you hand the credit over to Jasmine?"

So it was about this again.

Lyra was completely exhausted by the topic. Just as she was about to leave, she stopped and looked back. "Are you saying you regret not seizing the opportunity when I handed the credit to you instead?"

Josie nodded. "I often think if I had just been a little faster that day... You gave me the chance to go to Mr. Jameson, but I blew it..."

Lyra was disappointed that Josie was still stuck in the past. She sighed softly. "There are plenty of good men out there."

Shaking her head, Lyra turned and walked away.
