She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 645

Rowan sat by the bed, pulling a soft tissue from the box to gently wipe away the tears streaming down her face. His eyes were heavy with heartache. "I know you're furious. You can punish me however you want. Do whatever it takes to make you feel better..."

"I want a divorce."

"I want a divorce," Lyra repeated, her fingers digging fiercely into the bedsheets. Fresh, hot tears spilled over her cheeks, her voice thick with resentment. "I am divorcing you."

Rowan closed his eyes. He had expected this. "Alright."

Lyra blinked, looking up at him in disbelief as she wiped her eyes. "I'm taking the baby. He's mine. I want full custody."

Rowan nodded slowly, his voice hoarse. "Alright."

His complete capitulation felt so surreal that Lyra instinctively tried to push her luck. "I want you to suffer. Bring me a durian and you're going to stand barefoot on it."

"Alright." A faint, bitter smile touched Rowan's lips. "I'll have Wesley buy one right now. Will that make you feel better?"

Lyra stared at him, her wide eyes still glistening with tears. "I want you to do a striptease. I'm going to record it, and if you ever piss me off again, I'll post it online."

Rowan just looked at her, his gaze intense and utterly silent. That heavy, unwavering stare made Lyra's heart skip a beat. She quickly backpedaled. "Let's... let's just have Wesley draft The Divorce Agreement first."

Rowan watched her. "Are you done crying?"

Lyra nodded.

Wesley was waiting outside in the hallway. Rowan called him in.

Wesley entered cautiously. He wasn't sure if this was some bizarre roleplay dynamic between the married couple, so he just stood there, waiting for instructions.

Lyra began listing her terms. Aside from the two hundred billion dollars in The Betrothal Gift currently sitting in her bank account, she wanted nothing else from the Jameson empire. She only wanted full custody of the child.

Wesley mentally noted the absurdity of her demand. *She wants 'nothing' but billions of dollars and the heir to the family.* She truly was a beautiful, ruthless little shark.

Rowan agreed to all of it.

He only added one single stipulation: the divorce would only be finalized after Pip was born and officially out of danger. Until then, Rowan would personally care for her.

With both sides in agreement, Wesley hurried off to draft the paperwork.

His mind shifted to Caspian. He immediately dispatched his private security team to the Jameson Residence.

They reported back empty-handed.

Listening to the update, Rowan's eyes turned glacial. He ordered Andrea to guard the hospital room and drove straight to the estate.

"I told him to leave," Victoria confessed the moment she saw him.

"Rowan, let it go this once. You could see he was deeply remorseful..."

"If you absolutely need someone to go to prison for this, send me. I was the one who let him in."

Rowan stared at his mother for a long, silent moment. A cold laugh escaped his lips. "You know damn well I'm not going to put you in prison. What's the point of saying something so dramatic?"

Victoria avoided his gaze. "I slapped him."

"I hit him as hard as I could."
