Chapter 92
As Laurel ran to get the manager, Talia threatened Melanie again.
“You should’ve done your research on our dear Felix’s family before you attended this kindergarten. Now, you’ve met your doom. I’ll make sure your daughter can’t go to any other school in the future! You’ll have to get on your knees and beg for mercy, or this will never end!”
She sounded so arrogant that someone could have mistaken her for the mafia. It was as if she was in charge of all the rules in Hermiton not even the mayor would dare to talk like that.
After a short while, Laurel returned with the manager, Blake Wurth. When Talia saw Blake, she remained arrogant.
Hurry up and deal with this. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you guys pay for the consequences.”
Blake had already learned about what had happened while heading to the scene. Seeing how domineering Talla was, the manager could only try to calm everyone with a smile.
“I’m telling you. If you don’t expel her, I’ll report you to the Ministry of Education. I always keep my word.”
Blake looked aggrieved and couldn’t help looking at Melanie. “Excuse me, but why don’t you apologize to her? The kids‘ fight wasn’t that serious anyway,
so this can be over after we talk this out
Melanie raised an eyebrow, thinking how ridiculous Blake was. After all, why should she apologize? Was she in the wrong?
“My daughter didn’t do anything wrong, so there’s no way we’re apologizing.”
Talia didn’t expect Melanie to be that brave. So she started saying worse stuff and even stepped out to call her husband. When Melanie heard that, she thought about contacting Edward as well. After all, Talia wasn’t the only one with a husband.
So, Melanie went to a telephone booth with Nellie to call Edward. He had just finished his work and was reviewing some office documents. He was also worried when he heard that something had happened to Nellie at school
So, he told his superior that he was leaving before rushing to the kindergarten in his car
When Talia was done contacting her husband, she looked at Melanie and felt pleased. “I’m telling you, my husband isn’t your typical man. He’s the manager of Haywood Hotel Once he pets here, you’re doomed
Haywood Hotel was the biggest state–owned hotel in the city, and its guests were usually wealthy and foreign. So, it made sense why Talia was so arrogant, as it would indeed be impressive to be the manager there.
Melanie said nothing and just sat there with Nellie in her arms. She figured Edward could protect them with his abilities.
In just a short while, Talia’s husband, Henry Morris, arrived at the scene. When he saw Felix’s state, he started blaming Melanie immediately.
However, compared to Talia, he was well–articulated. Although he didn’t hold back with his words, he never said anything vulgar. He evidently knew how to ergue well
“Since it has already happened, there must be compensation. First, your daughter has to be expelled. Then, you’ll have to pay us for our mental distress. Your daughter has gone too far I’ll need to take my son to a psychiatrist. Otherwise, I’m worried he might be traumatized for life.”
Henry was hypocritical and pushed all the blame on Nellie
When Nellie Lew that another man had arrived, she felt a little scared. So, she couldn’t help clenching on M
on Melanie’s sleeve.
