Chapter 41 

Julia noticed Melanie’s apprehension and quickly reassured her.

Hector’s eyes lit up. “What a coincidence! It’s a shame I didn’t get their contact info earlier. I’m telling you they’re stunning!” 

Tanner shot his friend a disapproving look and chided, “stop acting like a fool.” 

Hector pouted and fell silent, but Tanner was deep in thought. 

Seeing that the car behind them continued to follow, Julia decided to pull over at a nearby intersection for safety. It would definitely be suspicious if they parked, too. However, if the car moved on, then it could be chalked up as pure coincidence.

Julia nodded and started her car, following behind the other vehicle. As expected, both cars ended up on the same slow road. 

After driving for over three hours, they finally reached their destination 

“Should we head to your store first, Melanie? Julia asked. 

Melanie nodded. With so much inventory, she needed to drop it off at the shop first. She had even ordered two mannequins to display the clothing. Although it was getting late, she wanted to get everything set up.

Melanie was genuinely grateful for Julia’s assistance. She had few friends, and no one in her in–laws‘ family particularly liked her. So, she thought that finding someone willing to help was a carity, 

“You’ve really helped me a lot today, Julia. Thank you for spending the whole day with me. 

“Aw, it’s nothing! This is just a little bit of work. Don’t be so courteous with me,” Julia replied. 

The two women quickly got to work, and the store looked great before long. 

While sorting the clothes, Julia initially doubted Melanie’s taste, but now, seeling the racks, she couldn’t take her eyes off the beautiful outfits. She thought they were absolutely stunning, with such vibrant color combinations,
