Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 463

By the time the lunch wrapped up, it was nearly two o'clock.

The group arrived at the Northampton airport, where two private jets were already prepped and waiting.

Boarding a private flight was a breeze compared to commercial airlines. No lines, no security checks, just dedicated ground staff guiding them every step of the way.

While they were getting ready to board, no one noticed a tall, striking man striding furiously out of the arrivals terminal.

Ferris Quinn practically had to run to keep up with him, though he didn't dare say a word.

He desperately wanted to point out that they had spotted her at the exhibition *this morning*. It was already late afternoon. Nora was long gone by now, and Edmond rushing back right this second wouldn't change a thing.

Not to mention, the exhibition hall had been packed. Finding one person in that crowd was like finding a needle in a haystack.

But he also knew that his boss was completely beyond reason right now.

Anything he said would just fall on deaf ears.

Whatever.

At least they were back in Northampton.

Ferris felt like he was rotting away after spending so much time stuck in San Francisco.

...

Meanwhile, their cars had breezed through the security checkpoints straight to the tarmac.

Since the two private jets were taking off one after the other, Nora and Hudson waited a bit until Arthur and the others had boarded before heading to theirs.

The flight crew was fully prepped. The captain, co-captain, head flight attendant, and several other attendants stood in a neat line by the steps, waiting for the couple.

The flight from Northampton to San Francisco took about four hours.

After the head flight attendant brought them juice, coffee, and some light snacks, Hudson dismissed them, explicitly stating they didn't need any further service.

Soon, the cabin door closed, the stairs were pulled away, and the roar of the engines grew louder.

"He does a bit of everything. Real estate, finance, shipping, energy... if it makes money, he's got his hands in it."

Hudson toyed with her fingers. "That kid is a natural-born businessman. With just a hundred thousand dollars in startup capital, he built a publicly traded company in three years..."

Nora's jaw dropped in absolute shock.

Her entire worldview was being crushed into dust piece by piece.

No wonder Archer said dropping a couple of hundred million on a private jet was a steal...

"So what about his company? I never see him go to work..."

Hudson's fingers paused, his smile fading slightly. "My uncle has his hands on the company."

With that, Nora instantly understood.

Hudson had told her a little about Arthur, Archer, and Olive before, explaining that they were originally adopted by Lawrence Lancaster.
