The women grew more and more animated, their tones dripping with irrepressible envy and jealousy.
It was as if they couldn't wait to magically swap souls with the mysterious, unseen bride.
"Tch."
A highly abrupt, heavily sarcastic scoff rang out across the deck.
Gwen pushed up the sunglasses on her face and rolled her eyes dramatically.
Her gaze looked exactly as though she were staring at a bunch of clueless country bumpkins.
"If he were truly that rich, he'd have rented out the entire Royal Princess! What the hell does renting out just the theater mean? Is the groom's wallet on life support?"
Gwen's voice carried perfectly on the wind, landing right in front of them so they could hear every single word.
"Renting out the theater? Hilarious. That's as ridiculous as walking into an Hermes boutique and asking the sales rep for half a Birkin bag! Who are they trying to fool?"
As soon as those words dropped, the women, who had just been bubbling with romantic fantasies, instantly changed their expressions.
One woman with dyed red hair snapped her head around, looked Gwen up and down, and immediately sneered with contempt.
"Well, well, where did this bitter hater come from? Sour grapes much? Do you have any idea how much it costs to charter this Royal Princess? The number would scare you to death!"
"Exactly," another woman chimed in to support her.
"Some people probably just bought the cheapest lower-deck ticket to sneak on, and now their eyes are red with jealousy seeing rich people throw a lavish wedding. If you're broke, keep your mouth shut, or you'll just expose your own pathetic poverty!"
"Hey! Don't test my temper!"
