Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 170

By 2:00 PM on the third day, the entire choreographic sequence was flawless. She uploaded the final cut onto her tablet and drafted an exhaustive technical specification document to accompany it, breaking down the exact load-bearing requirements for every single wirework suspension point.

At exactly 4:30 PM, she walked into the studio conference room.

Sean was already there, sitting in his usual spot, nursing a black coffee.

Eliza handed the tablet across the table.

Sean took it, watching the entire sequence from start to finish without making a sound.

She watched as his finger tapped the screen, scrubbing backward to re-watch the whole thing.

Then he watched it a third time.

He set the tablet down and took a slow sip of his coffee.

"That transition—the one bridging the aerial landing into the sweeping motion in the second half—"

Eliza's heart jumped into her throat.

"Who taught you that?"

Eliza blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "No one. It's original choreography. There are no copyright issues."

Sean looked at her. The gaze behind the dark frames was still sharp, but the intensely critical edge was gone.

"Acceptable. You start Wednesday."

He stood up, grabbed the tablet, and headed straight for the door. His assistant scrambled to keep up.

Right at the threshold, he paused.

He turned to his assistant.

"Ms. Shaw's technical documentation is exemplary. From now on, every piece of choreography submitted to this production will meet this exact standard."

"Make this the master template. Reformat it and distribute it to all the department heads. Let them see what actual professionalism looks like!"

"And tell them to stop arguing with me!"

Without even glancing back at Eliza, he walked out, the heavy door shutting behind him.

Eliza stood perfectly still, her tightly clenched fists slowly unfurling.

Her palms were drenched in sweat.

She did it!

She got the job!
