Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 100

...

Twenty minutes later.

All four of them were dragged into the precinct!

Strung along like a row of culprits, they were ushered into the holding area.

Miriam was still strutting like a victorious rooster. Even after being warned by the police multiple times, she was still muttering curses.

One minute, she was cursing Yvonne to drop dead.

The next, she was lecturing Eliza for being a pathetic loser.

Eleanor, meanwhile, held a shivering, tear-streaked Yvonne. She sat off to the side with an icy expression, shooting looks of pure disgust at the Shaw women as if they were trash.

She was waiting for her lawyer.

As for Eliza, she remained completely silent. She sat quietly on a bench in the corner, acting as an entirely detached observer to her own life.

Suddenly, the door to the holding area was pushed open, and a loud commotion spilled inside.

"...I'm warning you, Logan, this is the last time! If you dare get into another fight at school, I guarantee I'll leave you locked up here for a month, and absolutely no one will be able to bail you out!"

A deep, familiar male voice rang out, heavy with suppressed fury.

Eliza instinctively looked up.

At the far end of the hallway stood Julian.

He was wearing a black overcoat, his face dark as thunder.

He was looking down, harshly scolding a teenager in a school uniform. The boy looked like a middle schooler, only reaching up to Julian's chest.

The teenager had messy hair and a few bruises on his face. He stubbornly craned his neck, refusing to talk back.

As if sensing someone watching, Julian abruptly stopped his lecture and snapped his head around.

His gaze locked onto Eliza in the holding area.

The moment their eyes met, Eliza's heart skipped a beat.

She looked incredibly wretched right now.
