Quentin's tall, imposing figure was accompanied by a woman with a stunning silhouette, her arm linked intimately with his.
Immediately after, a voice message came through.
"Parrish, Quentin really got married. He even brought his wife to the Vance family banquet. From the looks of it, he's absolutely dead set against marrying Xandra Xavier."
Parrish's eyes darkened instantly.
The marriage alliance between the Yorks and the Xaviers had been arranged long ago.
But since Parrish already had someone else in his heart, he obviously couldn't marry Xandra.
That was exactly why he had shoved the engagement onto Quentin the moment he returned to the country.
He had assumed that given Quentin's half-crippled state and years of exile, he would be desperate to cling to the Xavier family's towering medical influence.
Who could have guessed that Quentin would not only reject the offer, but also immediately elope with a random woman?
Staring at the photo, Parrish's expression turned increasingly grim.
The woman in the dusty blue dress was only visible from behind.
But for some reason, Parrish felt his heart violently seize.
That delicate, pale neck and the clean curve of her jawline—it reminded him startlingly of Bonnie.
Parrish's chest tightened.
Almost reflexively, he typed back:
[Get a picture of her face.]
After hitting send, he stared down at the photo for a long time.
A moment later, he let out a mocking laugh.
He figured Bonnie had just been driving him insane lately.
The woman in the picture was wearing haute couture, and the jewelry around her neck was blinding in the sunlight.
That entire outfit cost millions of dollars at minimum.
How could it possibly be Bonnie?
She would hesitate for hours over buying a twenty-dollar shirt.
How could she be dressed like that, standing beside Quentin?
About two minutes later, his friend finally sent another voice message.
