Seraphina sighed and nodded in agreement. “Okay, whatever you say. I’m off the clock now, so I’m not going to entertain you.”
With that, she neatly packed up her medical files, walked around the desk, and headed for the door.
But Vivian had come here specifically to throw a tantrum and vent her anger. There was no way she was just going to let
Seraphina walk away.
She blocked the doorway, refusing to budge.
That face, which usually played the pathetic, fragile victim in front of Mortimer, was now twisted with pure madness and
obsession.
“You’re not walking out that door until you make things clear! Mortimer is only treating me this cruelly because a fake bitch like you played dirty tricks behind my back. You stole the life that was supposed to be mine!”
Seraphina frowned. How had she never noticed before that this omega was so insanely good at twisting the truth?
“Then I highly suggest you go run and expose me to him right this second. Bring evidence, preferably. Stop wasting my time here,” Seraphina said.
“Miss Davis, move out of the way. I’m in a hurry.”
The calmer Seraphina was, the more Vivian felt like an absolute clown.
The sheer humiliation of being completely dismissed finally snapped the last thread of Vivian’s sanity. She shrieked, raising her hand to slap Seraphina across the face.
“Seraphina, do you have absolutely no shame-”
However, Vivian couldn’t even finish her sentence. Her hand hovered in midair, completely unable to move another inch.
Seraphina’s originally calm eyes instantly turned deadly cold. Her aura exploded out like a tidal wave.
While her aura wasn’t as violent and feral as Mortimer’s, it carried a freezing, absolute heaviness. It crashed down on Vivian’s frail shoulders like the crushing weight of the deep ocean.
Seeing all the color drain from Vivian’s face, Seraphina reined in her aura, turned around, and prepared to leave.
“Ahhh!” Vivian shrieked in absolute defiance.
She grabbed the designer bag she had dumped on the desk and hurled it straight at Seraphina’s face.
Seraphina hadn’t expected her to be this crazy. She instinctively threw her arm up to block it. Even though she deflected most of the impact, the heavy metal hardware on the bag smashed right into her pinky.
The sharp, agonizing pain of metal hitting bone made Seraphina pale instantly.
Seeing Vivian raising the bag to swing again, Seraphina’s face darkened completely.
“This is never going to end.”
This time, she was ready. The second the bag came down, Seraphina snatched Vivian’s wrist and twisted it hard to the side.
A sharp pain shot through Vivian’s wrist. With a loud shriek, she dropped the bag to the floor.
A crisp, echoing slap rang out right as the bag hit the ground.
Vivian’s head snapped to the side.

She held her cheek in shock, staring at Seraphina in pure disbelief. She never in a million years thought Seraphina would actually dare to hit her.
“You… you hit me?”
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Though Seraphina had slapped/Vivian, her own palm was stinging, too.
She shook out her hand, looked up, and met Vivian’s venomous glare dead on. “Is your brain working a little clearer now?”
Vivian glared at her viciously, squeezing the words through gritted teeth. “I am absolutely telling Mortimer you hit me. Just you
wait.”
Seraphina just threw her hands up, looking completely unbothered.
“Miss Davis, I honestly don’t get it. If you’re so convinced that Mortimer is madly in love with you, why won’t he even give you an official title? Why is he perfectly fine letting you run around labeled as a homewrecker?”
Seraphina asked genuinely, her face full of sincere curiosity.
But the phrase “official title” hit Vivian right in her weakest spot, instantly choking the breath out of her.
Her eyes locked onto Seraphina like a venomous snake baring its fangs.
“What are you so smug about?” Vivian hissed through gritted teeth. “The one who isn’t loved is the real homewrecker. All you have is a worthless piece of paper. Mortimer doesn’t even acknowledge you as his so-called wife!”
Seraphina shrugged casually. She even slightly pulled back the suffocating Alpha pressure suppressing the omega, just to make absolutely sure Vivian could hear every single word she was about to say clearly.
“Who cares if he acknowledges it? As long as the Pack Elders and the law acknowledge it, that’s enough. This piece of paper might not force Mortimer to love me, but with a snap of my fingers, I can legally walk away with half of everything he owns as the Alpha and CEO of the Craig Corporation.”
She looked down at Vivian, a highly meaningful smirk pulling at the corners of her lips. “You love to brag about how much he loves you, but the law doesn’t care about you. You will always just be the shameless homewrecker everyone spits on. Every single cent Mortimer spent on you during our mating-if I decide I’m not happy about it, I can take you to court and demand every penny back.”
She watched Vivian’s face go from pale to green, turning uglier and darker by the second.
Seraphina smiled and threw her hands up again. “See? That piece of paper you look down on is exactly what gives me the absolute confidence and authority to put a homewrecker in her place. You might have Mortimer’s supposed love, but can love buy you food? Can you spend it like cash?”
Originally, Seraphina had always felt that throwing her official title in Vivian’s face was cheap and undignified.
But now she realized that when dealing with a delusional, illogical lunatic like Vivian, dignity didn’t mean a damn thing.
The best method was whatever knocked the enemy out in one hit.
Sure enough, the moment Seraphina finished her sentence, Vivian’s entire face contorted with pure humiliation and rage.
