Third Person’s PQV

Professor Bauer didn’t even look at Lillian.
He turned his gaze toward Vivian, whose face was now a translucent, ghostly white. A thin, dangerous smile touched his lips. “A scapegoat? Of course, he’s a scapegoat. But as for who he’s covering for–maybe Miss Davis would like to enlighten us.”
The air in the room vanished.
Vivian flinched, her omega instincts screaming at her to submit under the Alpha’s weight. “Why ask me? I… how would I know anything?”
Lillian saw the target painted on her daughter and went full predator. “Professor Bauer! Seraphina is your student, we get it— but you can’t just spit on our name! You’re accusing Vivian of poisoning her own brother? In what world does an omega do that to their own kin?!”
Connor wasn’t as loud. He stared at the screen, his eyes dark. He was a shark; he could smell the blood in the water. He knew the situation was redlining.
Bauer ignored the screaming. He continued with a clinical, lethal patience.
“We have the sales records from the third-party pharmacy Johnny Green visited. We have the digital footprints of the payment.”
Bauer gestured toward the screen, where high-resolution photos of medical waste appeared. “And these are the IV bags recovered from the bin outside Rolf’s room. We found the specific bags Johnny brought in, hidden right there in the pile.”
Bauer let out a cold, sharp laugh, his fury vibrating through the air.
“Seraphina’s luck held. The medical waste transport truck broke down that morning. The bins sat in the loading dock for an extra six hours. When Rolf crashed, Shadowfang’s emergency protocol kicked in-every scrap of medical residue was frozen and logged for forensics.”
The last bit of color drained from Vivian’s lips. She was shaking now. “So… so what? That doesn’t prove anything.”
“Every vial from our pharmacy has a unique bio-barcode,” Seraphina interjected, her voice an arctic blade. “Every move the nurse makes is recorded under high-def surveillance.”
“The logs show the nurse administered the correct dose,” Seraphina continued. “But the barcode on the empty bag we pulled from the trash doesn’t match the hospital’s inventory. It matches the private stock Johnny Green bought at a corner store.”
She paused, her golden eyes pinning Vivian to the chair. “Do you get it now?”
Dead silence.
The Davis couple weren’t stupid. They finally saw the trap.

Seraphina didn’t give them a second to breathe. “Someone slipped into that room and swapped the medicated IV bag for a dummy bag of plain saline. They choked off Rolf’s blood supply at his weakest moment. This wasn’t a medical error, Miss Davis. It was attempted murder.”
The logic was bulletproof.
The Davis’ plan to blackmail Seraphina and force their way into the Blade Pack’s inner circle was turning into a pile of ash.
Before the three of them arrived, their minds were filled with dreams of joining the Blades.
No one had imagined that such convoluted evidence would be uncovered in such a short time.
Vivian was the one spiraling.

She’d done the research.
A blood clot is a sudden, internal event-not even a star surgeon like Seraphina could see it coming during a routine check.
It was supposed to look like a post-op complication.
All she needed to do was replace the medicated saline with ordinary saline.
The evidence was supposed to be incinerated within forty-eight hours,
No one was supposed to look at the trash. No one was supposed to track down one specific bag among thousands in Los Angeles.
In Vivian’s calculations, all of this would ultimately be blamed on Seraphina’s medical shortcomings.
No one would suspect that someone dared to swap medication at Shadowfang Healing Center, and even less that anyone could pinpoint the exact pharmacy among thousands in Los Angeles.
She couldn’t wrap her brain around it-how did they find Johnny’s loser son in less than twenty-four hours?
“This Johnny guy has no reason to hurt Rolf!” Vivian shrieked, her voice jagged with terror. She turned her venom on Seraphina.
“How did you find him?! How did you find that one pharmacy? Do you have psychic powers?”
She tried to flip the script one last time. “Or maybe you hired him? Maybe you’re framing my family to cover your own incompetence?”
