30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 586

Taylor mentioned there was a recording, and Leonora felt a bit relieved. "Taylor, thank you."

"No need to be so formal with me."

As Taylor finished speaking, Leonora smiled and fell silent, letting the car settle into a peaceful quiet.

Every now and then, Taylor's gaze would drift to Leonora's face, reminiscing about their time together two years ago. He thought about her recent outburst, arguing with someone else, which made him chuckle.

What surprised him more was that they had met again, with Leonora sitting right next to him in the passenger seat.

It was a pleasant surprise.

As the memories slowly faded, Taylor cherished the chance to have Leonora beside him.

Holding the steering wheel with both hands, Taylor turned to glance at Leonora and said with a smile, "It's been two years, and you've become quite the debater, even arguing with people now."

The mention of this made Leonora feel awkward. She replied, "I've been on too many bizarre dates over these two years, I guess I've practiced."

Taylor casually replied, "More bizarre than me?"

The fact that Leonora was still dating made Taylor quite happy; at least she wasn't married with kids yet, or he figured he might truly be depressed.

Leonora laughed at Taylor's self-deprecating humor. "After seeing those people, I don't even think you're bizarre, just maybe a bit arrogant."

After more than two years, both seemed to have lost their sharp edges, becoming much milder. Being together now felt much more relaxed than before.

Before long, the car stopped at the same cozy bistro they had eaten at last time. Taylor led Leonora inside, where the enthusiastic hostess greeted them, almost calling Leonora Mrs. Ferguson.

After the hostess personally served their food and closed the door to their private room, Taylor skillfully served Leonora some food and soup, then casually asked, "Still haven't found the right one after two years?"

Leonora had been on countless dates over these years, so many that she couldn't even keep track, but Taylor remembered all too well. A few times, he was worried she would find someone, thankfully she hadn't.

Across from Taylor, Leonora replied with a smile, "Still looking. I'll find someone eventually."

After answering Taylor's question, he had hoped she would ask about his romantic life in return, but Leonora just lowered her head to eat, asking nothing.

So, he just watched her for a while before starting to eat as well.

At two o'clock, after finishing their meal, Taylor mentioned it was still early and suggested they watch a movie together. Perhaps because he had helped her out earlier, Leonora agreed without much thought, "Sure!"

It was unusual for Taylor, who rarely watched movies, to pick an art film about a couple who separated due to a misunderstanding when they were young, only to reunite years later.

The movie was quiet, and Leonora watched it intently, but Taylor couldn't focus on the screen. His gaze often fell on Leonora's face.

Watching her seriously staring at the big screen, Taylor was reminded of many things from the past. Back then, they also had many happy moments, especially the weekends Leonora stayed in Southbay, those were his happiest times.

He wanted to hold Leonora's hand, to hug her, to tell her he missed her these past two years, to say he had been waiting for her, that he had never been with another woman.

But, seeing Leonora seriously enjoying the movie, without a hint of other thoughts, Taylor had to suppress his feelings.
