30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 575

Pulling his phone from his pocket, Taylor dialed up Jason and Grayson. Before long, the three of them were huddled in a corner booth at their favorite bar.

One look at Taylor’s face, and Jason and Grayson didn’t need to ask what was up. It had to be girl trouble. Jason had been down this road more times than he cared to count. If it were anything else, Taylor wouldn’t be losing sleep over it.

Grayson, though not as seasoned, had seen his fair share of drama, especially through Jason’s experiences. Seeing Taylor’s miserable state, they could tell this time it was serious.

When they’d met Leonora, they noticed how uneasy she was around Taylor. Their worlds were just too different, making it hard to find common ground.

So, they didn’t push him to talk. Instead, they just drank.

As the night wore on, Taylor didn’t bring up his mess with Leonora. She had thrown a fit about not wanting to be with him, and he was too embarrassed to spill the beans. It was humiliating.

When Jason brought up Isaac and Grayson mentioned Angel, the conversation shifted to Angel’s college entrance exams. The national exams had wrapped up just a couple of days ago.

Grayson said, “She probably nailed it. She’s always been a solid performer. She’s been out celebrating with her friends. When she gets back, we should all get together.”

Over the past couple of years, everyone had been busy. With Jason and Bryce having their own families, finding time for a full reunion was rare. Now that Angel’s exams were over, it was the perfect excuse.

“Angel may be young, but she’s got an old soul. You’ve done a great job, Grayson. Mission accomplished,” Jason said, grinning.

Grayson chuckled and took a sip of his drink. “Raising kids is no walk in the park.”

He thought back to when Angel first joined the Ledford family. She was shy and scrawny, and Grayson had been there every step of the way, teaching and nurturing her. In a blink, she was already heading to college.

“Now that Angel’s grown, it’s time you thought about your own life,” Jason added.

They’d all seen how much Grayson poured into raising Angel, more than many biological fathers would. At 32, it was high time he focused on himself.

Grayson smiled and nodded.

After another round, their drivers took them home.

Jason slipped into his house around 2 a.m., showered in the guest bathroom to avoid waking anyone, and tiptoed back to the bedroom. Estrella, up for a midnight bathroom break, caught him sneaking in.

“Did Mr. Taylor get all the comfort he needed?” she asked nonchalantly, her baby bump leading the way.

Jason wrapped her in a hug, resting his chin on her shoulder and nuzzling her cheek. “We didn’t talk much. Just had a few drinks with Grayson.”

Estrella hugged him back. “If he’s keeping quiet, it’s serious. Leonora seemed like a nice girl. She probably felt she couldn’t handle Taylor and backed out.”

“Yeah,” Jason murmured, still holding her tight.

Having been apart twice and now reunited, he cherished every moment.
