30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 513

Leonora paused, pressing her lips together before finally turning to gaze at Taylor for a long moment and then climbing into the passenger seat of the car.

It had taken her a while to get into the car, prompting Taylor to tease her with a smile, “Disappointed it’s me?”

Though his tone was light, there was a hint of annoyance in his heart.

Hearing his question, Leonora turned her face away, “What are you talking about? I’m not disappointed.”

Leonora’s denial meant Taylor wisely chose not to pursue the matter further.

Otherwise, they would have surely ended up arguing.

Even though Grant had been back for several days, he had carefully avoided bringing up his name in front of Leonora.

It seemed their relationship wasn’t about him, nor would it end because of him.

Soon, the car stopped in front of the Southbay complex, and Taylor, as usual, held Leonora’s hand as they walked upstairs.

Beside her, Leonora felt helpless.

Ever since Grant’s return, Taylor insisted on bringing her to Southbay every day, raising her parents’ suspicions that she might be in a relationship.

Once inside, just like always, Mrs. Chen greeted the young couple with a smile before returning to her quarters.

Taylor seemed off, a fact Leonora had noticed earlier.

He had been silent on the way home, lost in thought.

So, after dinner, Leonora took the initiative to clean up and head to the kitchen.

While washing the dishes by the sink, Taylor came up from behind and hugged her.

Leonora turned to look at him, his chin resting on her shoulder. She said nothing, continuing with her task.

She had wanted to discuss breaking up with Taylor, but his mood was clearly off today, especially after his fight with Grant in the office that morning, so she swallowed her words.

Otherwise, she knew her night wouldn’t be peaceful.

She would wait; she knew Taylor couldn’t hold out forever and would bring up the topic eventually.

After all, they couldn’t be together forever; he had his own life to live, a family to start.

Even as Taylor continued to hold her after she finished washing up, Leonora couldn’t help but chuckle, “Taylor, are you three years old? Still wanting to be coddled?”

But Taylor looked at her seriously, “Leonora, if you had to choose, no matter who the other person is, you’d choose me, right?”

Caught off guard by his question, Leonora stood frozen, a suspicion of what might have happened crossing her mind.

Instead of answering directly, she just smiled, “What’s this about choosing? I’m already with you, what more is there to choose?”

Deep down, Leonora was a bit afraid of Taylor.

She didn’t know why, but whenever he tried to coax something out of her, she felt intimidated.

She owed him nothing, and he had been good to her, yet the fear lingered.

Perhaps, it was because she knew there was no real love.

Taylor’s mood darkened at her evasion, his gaze turning cold.

Leonora was frightened by this look, his cold gaze making her gently pull away, trying to lighten the mood, “Alright, the dishes are done, let’s not…”

Before she could finish, Taylor cupped her chin and leaned in to kiss her.

Leonora stumbled back until Taylor wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her upright.
