30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 465

After a fiery kiss, the wedding ceremony wrapped up, smoothly transitioning into the dinner segment. As evening turned to night, Cole and Landon busied themselves making sure all the guests were either on their way home or checked into their hotels.

Jason and Estrella made their way back to Sandalwood Oasis. Returning to their haven, the world around them quieted. The lively tunes and buzz from the crowd were replaced by a serene silence, except for Isaac, who stubbornly refused to leave their room.

Clutching Estrella’s neck tightly, he declared with utmost seriousness, “Mom, you looked stunning today. I want to sleep with you tonight.”

Jason, standing nearby, playfully tugged at Isaac’s ear, “This lady is my bride, kid. Don’t steal the spotlight on my wedding day. Off to your own bed.”

Isaac barely acknowledged Jason, focusing instead on snuggling closer into Estrella’s embrace. He wasn’t interested in a verbal sparring with Jason; sharing a bed with Ella was his true victory. Isaac shared Estrella’s pragmatism, valuing actions over words.

“Little rascal,” Jason couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.

Seeing this, Estrella gently patted Isaac’s back and looked at Jason, “Honey, could you indulge us tonight?”

Jason was momentarily speechless. Any night but this seemed negotiable; tonight was an exception.

Eventually, as Isaac dozed off in Estrella’s arms, Jason carried him to another room without a word, then eagerly slipped back into bed with Estrella.

“Bet you’ve been waiting,” he said, pulling the covers over them. As Jason moved, Estrella reminded him, “Jason, remember there’s a little one on the way.”

“I haven’t forgotten,” Jason replied before their kiss silenced any further conversation. Estrella gently wrapped her arms around Jason’s neck, slowly closing her eyes.

Life returned to its peaceful rhythm following Estrella and Jason’s wedding. Taylor had been away on business both before and immediately after the wedding, leaving Leonora in a rare state of tranquility.

Recently, Leonora’s father had celebrated a professional milestone, prompting a celebratory dinner at the hotel with relatives from both sides of the family. During the dinner, Leonora’s aunt congratulated her father, “Brookes, congrats on your promotion! Keep pushing; it’ll leave something extra for the youngsters.”

Leonora’s father, with a beaming smile, responded, “Absolutely, I’m more motivated than ever. Though this promotion was a pleasant surprise, I’ll continue to strive for excellence.” This achievement was particularly sweet, given the fierce competition in their field and the lack of insider connections.

Leonora’s mother was also encouraged to pursue her own professional advancement, to which she replied with enthusiasm, “I’ll give it a shot next year, riding on our family’s streak of good luck.”

Meanwhile, Leonora stayed mostly out of the adult conversations, occasionally chatting with a younger cousin but listening intently as her parents shared their joy. Her thoughts wandered to Taylor, especially whether his influence played a part in her father’s success, which only added to her headache.

Just as she pondered about Taylor, her phone rang. It was him. Leonora’s mood visibly darkened before she stepped outside to take the call.
