30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 418

**Seeing the situation unfold, Jason continued, "You know, I designed that ring myself. The inside has an inverted V design, signifying that once we're married, it should never come off."

At this point, Jason's expression tightened, "Who knew you'd get so fiery, yanking off that ring in a bloody fit."

"Had I known it'd end up like this, I wouldn't have bothered with the ring in the first place."

Looking at Estrella's still-visible scar, Jason's heart was a mix of emotions. She must have been so disappointed, so upset.

After explaining the significance of the wedding band, Estrella's look towards Jason was indescribable. Since when did she realize he had so much time on his hands?

As he gazed at Estrella, she managed a strained smile, "Oh, so I get to suffer because of your wild ideas, huh?"

With that, recalling how she had removed the ring, Estrella suddenly lunged at Jason: "Just give me more shopping money next time, will you? What's with designing some fancy ring? Seems like you're asking for trouble."

Jason, catching her by the waist as she pounced, chuckled, "See, there goes your temper again. Be careful, don't hurt yourself."

Thinking back on their years of ups and downs, even Estrella couldn't stay mad, ending up laughing at their own antics.

Jason joined in her laughter, softly stroking her face, "Feeling better now?"

Estrella wriggled out of his arms, dismissively saying, "Making a fuss over nothing."

Then, as she untied her hair to redo it, Jason caught her wrist, pulling her into an embrace.

With spring in full swing and the nights growing warmer, their backyard buzzed softly with the sounds of insects and frogs.

After a night of passion, Estrella, looking exhausted in Jason's arms, received a gentle kiss on her forehead as he whispered, "Estrella, I'm sorry for making you upset."

Estrella didn't open her eyes, knowing well he was apologizing about the ring incident. With her eyes still closed, she wrapped her arms around his neck, "It's all in the past."

Jason pressed his lips to her forehead, and soon, Estrella drifted off to sleep.

---

The next morning, as Estrella and Jason came down for breakfast, Isaac was already at the table eating his cereal. Kristin, serving up some oatmeal, chatted away, "Your aunt called this morning, saying Jesse's been having a rough time with her pregnancy. Nothing tastes right, and she's been really sick, can't even make it to work now."

Estrella, picking up her spoon, replied, "Jesse's pregnancy does seem tough. Hopefully, she'll get past the first trimester soon."

Casually chatting, Isaac listened intently to their conversation. After breakfast, as Jason was about to drive them to daycare and work, Isaac slumped in his chair, frowning.

When Estrella urged him to get moving, he sheepishly said, "Ella, I've got no taste in my mouth, and I feel like throwing up. I can't go to daycare."

Isaac's complaint took Estrella by surprise, then seeing his untouched breakfast, she knew he was up to something. What was this kid thinking?

Realizing their earlier conversation, Estrella couldn't help but burst into laughter, tapping the table with her spoon, "Isaac, grab your backpack. Time for daycare."

She then cautioned him, "And don't try pulling a sick day like Jesse. You can't pull off her situation, buddy."

Trying to avoid daycare, Isaac was determined, thinking he could actually be pregnant.

Watching Isaac's feigned discomfort, Estrella was both amused and bewildered by her son. Jason, catching onto the conversation and realizing Isaac was mimicking Jesse's pregnancy, wore a complex expression.

Seeing Isaac's look, he was at a loss for words, pondering his luck in having such a wife and son. Estrella's attempt to explain was futile; Isaac remained seated, innocently looking at her, "Jesse used to be a boy."

Mistaking Jesse's short hair in photos and assuming she became a girl after giving birth to Bryan, Isaac's logic left Estrella struggling to hold back her laughter. Turning to Jason, she said, "I can't deal with this; your son, your problem."

Estrella passing the buck, Jason was almost in tears. But even so, Jason tried to be stern with Isaac, "Son, quit the act. Get ready for school."

Isaac, wide-eyed, parroted Estrella's usual tone, "Jason, I'm pregnant."

Jason couldn't help but burst into laughter, unable to stop. Laughing so hard, Estrella had to step away, tears streaming down her face from laughter.

She thought to herself, she'd have to show this video to Isaac's future wife someday. As Jason composed himself, he seriously pulled Isaac's chair back, "Isaac, even if you were pregnant, you're still going to daycare."
