30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 395

When Jason picked up the call from Autumn, he was a bit surprised. "Mom, is Estrella asleep or in the shower?"

"Neither," Autumn sighed. "She fainted in her office. Joshua, the kid delivering documents, found her and rushed her to the hospital."

"But Jason, don't worry. Estrella's awake now. She just finished her checkup and is back in her room. The doctors want to keep her for a couple of days for observation."

Hearing that Estrella was in the hospital made Jason's heart race. "Mom, I'll be there soon."

He hung up and hurried to the hospital.

When Jason arrived, Bryce, Jesse, Grayson, and Angel were already there, while Cole had just left after getting a call from home.

Seeing Jason, Estrella tried to lighten the mood, "It's just low blood sugar, and everyone's acting like I'm on my deathbed."

Autumn, busy making coffee for everyone, playfully scolded, "Stop talking nonsense. You'll live to be a hundred."

Jesse added, "Absolutely."

Angel, seeing the adults joking, giggled and clung to Grayson's arm. She was relieved her aunt Estrella was okay; otherwise, she'd be too worried to focus on her exam tomorrow.

After some time in Estrella's room, Autumn decided to organize some late-night snacks. Bryce and Grayson chose to leave with their families, suggesting they'd grab something outside instead of disturbing Estrella's rest.

"It's important for Jason to have some alone time with her," they reasoned as they left.

With their departure, the room fell into a calm silence, broken only by Autumn’s footsteps and the sound of her tidying up.

"Mom, you should go home and be with Isaac," Estrella said, then turned to Jason, "You should head back too."

But Jason chuckled, "And leave you here all alone? Who’s going to take care of you?"

Estrella, her voice weary, replied, "The doctors and nurses are here. Plus, it's not like I'm seriously ill."

The room was quiet, Estrella's exhaustion evident, making her earlier pretense of energy fade away.

Reflecting on her fainting episode, she couldn’t help but feel a bit scared. After all, sudden deaths weren’t uncommon these days.

Autumn, finishing her tidying, said, "Stop arguing, you two. I'll head back to look after Isaac, and Jason, you stay with Estrella."
