30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 346

Swallowing hard, Damita suddenly realized she was trembling uncontrollably, her teeth chattering against each other.

Bryce looked at her and smirked, "Seems like you remember these guys pretty well, huh? Still can’t forget them?"

The more Bryce called her "Mom," the more terrified Damita became.

After all, even Erik didn't call her that! And Bryce had been ruthless, roughing her up so much that she spent the entire Christmas season popping pills just to get by.

Damita watched Bryce closely, her brows furrowed as she said, "Bryce, I don't know these people." She added, "Look, it's the middle of the night. Let me go home, please!"

"Don't know them? You had quite a reaction for someone who doesn't know them." Bryce continued, "But Damita, they remember you. They still do."

Damita shook her head desperately, "That's impossible, Bryce. I really don't know them. You must be mistaken."

Bryce didn't buy Damita's excuses, merely chuckling coldly, "Damita, 14 years ago, you arranged for these men to take Jesse. You wanted to harm Jesse, didn't you?"

"No, absolutely not, Bryce." Damita vehemently denied, shaking her head. "Did Erik say something to you?"

Before Bryce could reply, Damita pressed on, "Bryce, Jesse has never liked me or Mavis, you know that. She's just spouting nonsense to you, don't let her manipulate you."

Bryce sneered, "Jesse is my wife. Whose side do you think I'm on? And don't even try to say I'm framing you. You transferred money to them from your own account 14 years ago. You can't deny that."

Back then, Erik was too young to cause any major uproar, and girls usually try to hide and escape from such situations, not confessing openly. So, Damita didn't bother to hide it and used her own account to transfer the money to those men.

Even though that account was long closed, Bryce had still managed to track it down.

Estrella and Erik had never uncovered the truth, mainly because Erik didn't want to face that past event and didn't pursue an investigation. Just as Damita had thought, girls don't usually publicize such incidents.

But little did she know, 14 years later, Erik's husband would come digging up the past.

As Bryce showed her the evidence, Damita still stubbornly denied it, "Bryce, there has to be some misunderstanding. Just give me a little time, and I'll explain everything to you."

"Save your explanations," Bryce said. "I'm not one to overreact. Just giving back what was given seems fair."

Damita's face fell, "What do you mean, Bryce?"

At her age, what could Bryce possibly want to do to her?

Seeing Damita's defensiveness, Bryce laughed, "Damita, surely you don't think I brought you here to harm you? I wouldn't let you off that easily."

As he finished speaking, the TV screen switched to Melinda.

At that moment, Melinda's cheeks were flushed, she was writhing uncontrollably on the bed, desperately tearing at her clothes.

Seeing Melinda's image, Damita panicked, stumbling forward and falling in front of the TV, "Mavis, Mavis."

Then, turning to Bryce, she demanded, "Bryce, let Mavis go right now, or this isn't over."

Bryce sneered at Damita's panic, "Scared now, Damita?" He approached, grabbed her by the throat, lifting her from the ground, "You care about your daughter, but what about Jesse? Isn't she human too?"
