30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 342

At the dinner table, Autumn noticed the awkward silence between Estrella and Jason and couldn't help but ask, "Estrella, Jason, why so quiet? Is everything okay?"

Cole, overhearing Autumn, couldn't resist chiming in, "I've been saying it forever, their personalities just clash. Look, it hasn't been that long, and they're already at each other's throats!"

Jason shot Cole a glare, annoyed by how smug he seemed.

Autumn, sensing the tension, quickly tried to smooth things over, "Come on, every couple has their squabbles. It's normal to fight and then make up. It doesn't mean they're not right for each other."

Cole retorted, "Well, you and I have never fought in all these years."

With a raised eyebrow, Autumn snapped back, "Cole, what's wrong with you? The kids are already upset, and instead of helping, you're making things worse. Would you actually be happy if they broke up?"

Of course, Cole would be thrilled, but he kept that thought to himself.

Estrella stayed silent, while Isaac focused on his meal, casting nervous glances around the table. Whenever he made eye contact with someone, he'd quickly look down and eat faster.

Seeing everyone in a bad mood made Isaac lose his usual cheerfulness.

Hearing Autumn’s scolding, Isaac nodded vigorously, signaling to Cole that he shouldn't be stirring the pot.

Cole, noticing Isaac's stance, simply said, "Alright, let's just eat."

Once the older couple had finished their spat, Estrella, having had enough, put down her utensils and announced, "Mom, Dad, I'm done. Enjoy your meal. Isaac, take your time."

She pointedly ignored Jason.

As Estrella left the table, Jason quickly followed, claiming he was full too.

Finding Estrella at her desk, Jason pulled up a chair beside her, "Honey, are you still mad at me?"

Annoyed, Estrella replied, "Enough with the sweet talk. Don't distract me from my work."

Despite her irritation, Jason simply sat beside her, silently admiring her as if she were a piece of fine art, giving her the space she needed to work.
