Despite Kristin's assurances that Estrella had agreed to the marriage because she liked him, Jason still wanted to hear it from Estrella herself.
Looking up at Jason, Estrella shrugged. "Of course, it's about wanting kids. Why else would I put myself through this?" She added with mock annoyance, "And your dad, honestly, where did he find those fortune-tellers? Their predictions are way off. I need to get my money back."
Estrella's remarks about wanting children and those dubious fortune-tellers made Jason release her arms in frustration. He turned to grab his coat from the rack, "Fine, if I mean nothing to you, I'll just leave."
As Jason turned to put on his coat, Estrella couldn't help but laugh. She grabbed him, "This is your house. Where do you think you're going?"
Jason retorted, "I've given you everything I own. What house do I have left? Besides, if I'm not in your heart, why should I stay?"
Jason's dramatic demeanor only amused Estrella more. Drama king, throwing a tantrum like a kid.
Holding onto Jason, preventing him from putting on his coat, Estrella coaxed, "I like you. I married you because I like you."
"Ha!" Jason scoffed, disbelief clear in his voice. "You think I'm Isaac? You expect me to believe these fairy tales? You didn’t mention liking me at first, and now suddenly you do. Where's the sincerity in that?"
Seeing Jason about to leave with his coat on, Estrella quickly blocked his way, arms crossed, leaning against the door frame. "You're leaving without settling things?"
Jason, with an air of defiance, glanced at her. "Why settle anything if you don’t even like me?"
Estrella insisted, "I do like you!"
Jason chuckled, "Yeah, keep making stuff up."
As he reached out to move Estrella aside, she stumbled, finding herself laughing. "Damn, someone's not in a great mood."
Regaining her footing and catching up to him, Estrella whispered something provocative into his ear.
The next second, Jason froze, a rush of heat flooding through him. You little enchantress!
Turning around, he eyed Estrella with a mix of skepticism and hope. "Babe, you're not messing with me, right? I just made sure I was extra clean."
Seeing Jason’s sudden change of heart, Estrella couldn't help but find it both exasperating and amusing. "Is that all you ever think about?"
Before Estrella could react further, Jason scooped her up, stating, "Babe, you gotta keep your word," and laid her down, trapping her in his arms.
Jason’s intense gaze met hers, and with a swift move, Estrella took control, reversing their roles.
Jason’s hands, one on her waist and the other cradling her neck, pulled her closer for a kiss.
