Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 876

Sienna's bizarre display of affection left Mira utterly shell-shocked. She realized she had severely underestimated just how wild Sienna actually was. At this moment, all Mira wanted to say was that she had zero interest in experiencing that kind of "queen's life."

Afraid that Sienna would launch into another lecture about "romance," Mira quickly brushed her off. "Sienna, I'm incredibly busy. I really don't have time for anything else."

"Mira, even if you did have time, absolutely do not go. You're a public figure. If you're seen hanging around her, your reputation will be ruined," Liora warned urgently.

"I know," Mira said. While Liora could be a bit immature at times, her loyalty was fierce and genuine, which was why Mira was always so patient with her.

"Mira has too much class to drag herself down to her level," Celine added, far more attuned to the nuances of social reputation.

"How am I dragging anyone down?" Sienna squawked indignantly.

But there was no point in answering. Even if they explained it, Sienna wouldn't understand.

Chatting among themselves, the group finally arrived at the drama society.

Wesley Lane flashed a bright smile. "Boss, we specifically pushed back today's schedule just so you could be here."

"Of course. Mira is the center of attention wherever she goes," Celine murmured softly.

"Thanks, President Lane. These two are my old classmates and close friends, and this is my friend's cousin. I brought them over to check things out."

Nearby, students who had been rehearsing vocals, practicing choreography, and running lines all paused to greet Mira.

"What do you think? A lot livelier than the folks over at the FinTech Society, right?" Mira asked the girls.

"Yeah, this place is way more fun. You can feel the artistic vibe the second you walk in." Surprisingly, the sophisticated observation came from Sienna.

"What lines are they memorizing?" Liora asked.

"They're shooting a Micro-Series here," Mira explained.

"A Micro-Series? Can I be in it?" Liora's eyes widened in excitement.

Mira glanced over at Wesley Lane.

"I mean, sure, but since you don't have any acting experience, you could only play a supporting role. Plus, our budget for actors isn't very high," Wesley replied honestly.

"We have an official account on Solflare Vibe. You can check out our past content on there," Wesley added.

The group hung out at the drama society for a little while longer before heading over to the dining hall for lunch.

"Didn't Harvey say he was going to buy us lunch?" Liora grumbled as they walked.

"Why don't you call him and ask?" Mira suggested.

"No way. If he bails on paying, I'll just hunt him down and settle the score next time."

"He probably just said that to be polite. Did you really take him seriously?" Celine rolled her eyes.

"He's probably just tied up with something. Harvey isn't a cheapskate," Mira defended him.

"I'll treat you guys. It's rare for us to get together like this, so why would we let someone else foot the bill?" Mira offered.

The moment they sat down in the dining hall, Harvey called. "We got caught up with something and can't make it back in time. Order whatever you want; I'm covering the bill."
