Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 875

Once they drain your wallet, they'll dump you and find a respectable girl to settle down with," Liora analyzed perfectly. Even Mira and Celine found themselves nodding along to her flawless logic.

"You've practically mapped out their entire life strategy," Mira laughed, thoroughly amused.

"That is not true! It's called romance! Do you guys even know what romance is?"

But the louder Sienna yelled, the more defensive she sounded. Mira got the distinct feeling that Sienna had been burned before—badly. Perhaps there was a deeper reason why she had ended up acting this way.

However, speculation was just speculation. It was her personal business, and Mira had no intention of prying.

Liora then turned to Celine. "How did your aunt raise your cousin to be like this?"

Despite her lack of filter, Liora came from a strict, highly educated family and was fiercely driven. While she and Celine couldn't match the academic brilliance of Mira, Harvey, or Elara, they were still in the upper echelon. They had been top students back at their prestigious high school, were now attending tier-one universities, and stayed far away from toxic habits.

"She has three older brothers. My aunt tried for years to have a daughter, so when she finally arrived, they spoiled her absolutely rotten. She got whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it. If she didn't feel like studying, they didn't force her. She never had to lift a finger at home. Back in middle school, when other kids started dating, she jumped right on the bandwagon, hopping from one boyfriend to the next until it became an addiction."

"And your aunt just lets her?" Liora asked in disbelief.

"Let her? Once, my mom tried to warn her. You know what my aunt said?"

"What did she say?"

"She said her daughter was born to enjoy life. As long as she eats well and has fun, nothing else matters."

"Spoiling a child is the same as ruining them," Liora sighed, taking the lesson to heart.

"Back then, we asked her what would happen when she and her uncle grew old or passed away. Her mom just said she still had her three brothers to take care of her. Plus, they were going to leave her a massive trust fund, more than enough to last a lifetime."

"I guess having enough money to last a lifetime works, assuming she doesn't let her obsession with guys get her scammed out of all of it."

"Like I said, mind your own damn business," Sienna snapped again.

"She's not going to kidnap some random guy off the street, is she?" Liora eyed Sienna warily before turning to Celine. Given Sienna's current level of desperation for attractive men, she actually might.

"I honestly have no idea," Celine replied with a bitter laugh.

"But she has zero physical strength, so she probably... yeah, she couldn't pull off a kidnapping."

"Well, the one smart thing your aunt did was never signing her up for martial arts classes."

Sienna, having endured enough of their judgmental commentary, finally lost it. "What the hell are you guys talking about? Let me tell you, I run things at my school! I have a whole crew of followers. Nobody would dare talk trash about me! Mira, you should totally come visit my campus sometime. I guarantee I'll treat you like an absolute queen—you'll have gorgeous guys waiting on you hand and foot. I've got my own off-campus apartment. I'll have them give you a full-body massage. It's absolute heaven."

Sienna lifted her chin and shot Celine and Liora a haughty look. "I'm only inviting Mira. You two aren't allowed."
