"That's unnecessary. We already have a countermeasure in place, so there's no need for you to worry, Hank."
Owen shot him another lethal glare.
"Who pissed in your cereal? I just did you a massive favor by messing with that Vance kid."
Owen still refused to entertain him. Unable to watch the awkwardness, Mira stepped in. "Thank you, Hank. We've already prepared for this."
After all, he was genuinely trying to help.
Harvey's roommates, along with Elara and the others, were still fuming. "This Jude guy is incredibly vindictive. Just because you won't sell him your shares, he goes through all this trouble to set up a trap!
Mira, is there anything we can do to help?"
Jillian took it a step further. "I think I have a foolproof way to ruin him."
Cedric leaned in, intrigued. "Let's hear it."
Mira was about to tell her it wasn't necessary, but seeing the expectant looks on everyone's faces, she decided not to stop her.
"What if I pretend to be the ex-girlfriend he brutally abandoned..."
"That lacks lethal damage. Couples break up all the time, brutally or otherwise. It's totally normal."
Wyatt critiqued.
"What if I'm pregnant?"
"Holy shit, Jillian, you're a genius! How do you even come up with this stuff? Pure talent!"
Cedric's eyes lit up with malicious glee.
"If she pulls that off, even if he tries to clear his name and orders his guards to drag her out, his reputation will still be permanently stained."
"It's a bit dirty. But for a wealthy heir, juggling multiple girlfriends at once is practically a given. Especially an overseas billionaire like him."
Wyatt reasoned, still unimpressed by Jillian's scheme.
"I'd storm the stage right when he's at the absolute peak of his smugness. I'll cry my eyes out and scream until the walls shake.
Are you seriously telling me that wouldn't cause maximum damage?"
Jillian challenged Wyatt defiantly.
Instantly, the entire group pictured the exact scenario in their heads:
Under the blinding spotlight, a sharply dressed, impossibly handsome Jude Vance would be delivering a masterful speech, basking in the crowd's expectant and adoring gaze...
...
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Capital Alliance Gala..."
The host's booming voice snapped Mira and the group back to reality.
Recovering from the shared hallucination, Mira smiled at Jillian. "Thank you for being willing to go to war for us, and thank you all for caring. But we don't need to go to such theatrical lengths.
Just watch. We aren't going to lose."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
Mira's absolute certainty carried an infinite weight, instantly calming everyone's nerves.
Hank chuckled. "I never realized you had such chaotic talent in your ranks, Mira."
He turned to Jillian. "Want to come work for me? I'll offer you a massive salary..."
Mira immediately cut him off. "Stop right there. She's not some random hire, and she's not my subordinate. She's my classmate, Hank. Just like me, they're all students at Aethelgard University."
