Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 1302

The apartment was a modest two-bedroom setup. Her adoptive parents took the master bedroom, and there was a tiny, sixty-square-foot storage closet where Ryan was crashing.

In Sarah and George's eyes, Ryan wasn't their own child. Giving him a place to sleep and covering his tuition was already more than enough to repay him for protecting Minnie while they grew up.

Besides, that cramped storage closet was already a massive upgrade from Ryan's drafty room back in the countryside.

The second bedroom absolutely had to be reserved for their daughter. That was the boundary they had set.

Even taking the master bedroom had been Mira's strict insistence. Otherwise, they would have squeezed into the smaller room and given her the primary suite.

It wasn't out of obligation, but out of deeply ingrained habit. Since she was little, they had always given their daughter the absolute best of everything they had.

"If that's the kind of family they are, then good riddance.

I'm making $3,000 a month now. If we find your mom a job, we can easily cover your college tuition."

George said, his jaw set with determination.

"Dad, you don't need to find Mom a job. Didn't I tell you? I tutor kids online, making over $10,000 a month.

My exams start tomorrow. Once they're over, I'll take on even more students online and bring in even more money."

"But what about college? The expenses are going to be huge."

George asked with a furrowed brow.

"You don't need to worry about any of that. As her brother, I'll be covering Mira's university expenses."

Ethan couldn't help but chime in.

"What if you decide to cut ties with our Minnie, too?"
