Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 1286

Hearing this, Mira and Ethan exchanged a glance.

"Impossible. You're a high school student who has never produced a song in your life. What kind of garbage could you possibly create? Do you think this is some kind of game?" Damon scoffed.

He had just returned home last night and had even given Mira fifty thousand dollars as a welcome gift from her brother.

Adrian also chimed in, "Mara, stop acting up. Producing music isn't something you can dabble in right now. You just need to focus on your studies."

Mara's tears instantly spilled over. "I can do it! I know I can do it. Just let me prove it to you."

Lacey always spoiled her. Wiping away Mara's tears, she argued, "Just let the child give it a try. If it works, great. If not, it's not like we lose anything."

"Fine, give it a shot. Let's see what kind of masterpiece you can come up with," Damon challenged.

Mira and Ethan remained silent throughout the exchange. In this life, they had much more profitable ventures to pursue and had no interest in dipping their toes into the music industry.

After the meal, the siblings headed to Vigor Square.

When they arrived at the martial arts studio, Master Ellis was instructing his students. The two of them stood at the reception desk, chatting with Harrison Moore.

"Why aren't you training with them today?" Mira asked.

"I wake up pretty early every day, so I've already finished my practice. Plus, someone needs to man the front desk."

Mira knew the situation well. Harrison came from a single-parent household and had grown up with just his mother. Her income was low, leaving them in tight financial straits. Because of this, he spent all his weekends and holidays working at the studio to earn extra cash.

"Do you have a senior apprentice with the last name Lance?"

Harrison shook his head. "No."

"No? Not ever?" The siblings' eyes widened in disbelief.

"I've been working the front desk here since middle school, and I've never heard of a senior apprentice named Lance."

Mira and Ethan exchanged another look. Had something else changed in Aethelgard? Why hadn't Owen Lance come to Melvion City in this timeline?

Half an hour later, Master Ellis finished his class and finally came over to meet them.
