Mira waved the manager off. "Go back to work. We can handle things from here."

He bowed respectfully and left; Mira knew there were servers waiting just out of sight, ready to appear the second someone pressed the call button.

Sebastian cut straight to the chase. "I won't lie to you. The Quinn Group is on the verge of bankruptcy. Can you help us out?"

He looked desperately at Mira.

Before she could respond, Miles quickly added, "Mira, if you step in, we'll give you half of our shares."

The father and son understood that with Mira's current status and power, even a single public word of support from her would turn the tide for their business.

Most businessmen were opportunists who simply followed the wind.

It was a tragedy that they had alienated such an incredible asset.

Mira didn't agree right away. "If you're already facing bankruptcy, there won't be much left after liquidation anyway. What use would I have for half of your worthless shares?"

The faint glimmer of hope in their eyes instantly died out.

"Then what do you want from us, Mira? What will it take?" Miles asked, his face a portrait of utter sincerity.

"How exactly do you want me to help?" Mira countered.

Sebastian and Miles weren't surprised by her terrifyingly accurate financial read on their company; if she wasn't this sharp, she never could have built the Solflare empire.

"Furthermore, the moment your company shows any sign of recovery, your current creditors will swarm you like locusts. For the Quinn Group to truly rise from the ashes, I estimate you'll need no less than thirteen billion dollars."

Liquidating assets was equivalent to selling scrap metal at a massive loss, but keeping the operation running allowed those assets to retain their true market value.

That was why any business owner would fight tooth and nail to avoid declaring bankruptcy as long as there was even a sliver of hope.

Mira locked eyes with Sebastian. "I can help you, but I have conditions."
