Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 1115

"Don't worry. Even though they have the assets, they won't hold onto them for long. Once Lawrence is arrested, they'll lose everything to pay off the massive compensation claims for Aethelgard Aviation Corp.

It's time Richard paid the price for his own sins."

The next day, Mira's group skipped the exchange entirely, opting to spend a couple of days exploring Manhattan.

Since they were certain the major syndicates wouldn't open any positions yet, waiting around the trading floor was pointless.

Vaughn led their sightseeing tour once again.

This time around Wall Street, James had arranged every detail, allowing Mira's covert security team and Vaughn's men to blend into the background.

Master Ellis had no interest in sightseeing and went off to handle his own business.

Truthfully, the group had already visited all the historic landmarks and scenic spots during their last trip. The only difference was that their previous visit had been in the dead of winter, everything buried in a cold, icy white.

Now, bathed in autumn, it felt like an entirely new world—a vibrant, richly textured oil painting that overwhelmed the senses.

With their spirits high, the sky seemed infinitely vast and blue, dotted with thin, wispy clouds that made the scenery breathtaking.

In Central Park, the oak, maple, and sycamore trees exploded in a riot of fiery reds, vibrant oranges, bright yellows, and deep browns. The lake mirrored the vivid autumn colors, rippling gently whenever a fallen leaf drifted onto its surface.

A cool breeze sent leaves dancing like colorful butterflies, carpeting the walkways with a satisfying crunch underfoot.

The group slowed their pace, basking in the sun on park benches. They gazed out at the urban forest framed perfectly by the towering skyscrapers in the distance.

"Let's come back tomorrow. This is way better than winter,"

Wesley said, crossing his legs as he casually sipped his drink.

"This is the life I've always wanted. Hustle, sweat, and then pure relaxation.

Raking in the cash and enjoying every second of it."

"Would you have dared to conquer Wall Street if Mira hadn't led the charge?"

Harvey asked him.

"I admit it, I wouldn't have. That's exactly why I'm joining her team, through thick and thin, all the way to the top."

"Didn't you say you needed time to think about it before?"

"What! You're opening a bank? Save some shares for me,"

Hank was the first to volunteer.

"Mira, can I get in on this?"

Ethan finally spoke up.

He knew every single one of Mira's ventures was absurdly profitable. It wasn't that he hadn't wanted to join before; he simply felt too ashamed of the past to ask.

"Yes, you can."

Hearing her agreement, Ethan let out a massive sigh of relief. "Thank you."

Was she finally willing to accept him?

Truthfully, he had braced himself for rejection the moment the words left his mouth.

"No need to thank me. It's purely business. I just think you have the right qualifications for a partnership."
