Yulen had caught wind that Victor Clark was entertaining clients at the club tonight, so he had shown up specifically to ambush him.
He had tried reaching out to Ryder Powell directly, only to discover his number had been blocked.
Now, his only hope of salvaging the broken partnership with the Powell Group was through Victor.
Winona had zero interest in acknowledging them, so she kept walking straight ahead.
Seeing her cold demeanor, Yulen's own expression hardened. Unlike before, he didn't bother walking over to greet her.
Seeing this, Tallulah felt a wave of relief. She assumed Yulen was finally over Winona.
It made sense. Wynne had severed all corporate ties with the Locke Group specifically because of Winona. No matter how much Yulen used to love her, there was no way he could look past a betrayal that cost his family millions.
"Let's hurry up," Tallulah urged. "I heard Mr. Clark is in VIP Room 3."
Yulen nodded, and they headed toward the elevators.
As Winona waited by the elevator bank, she bumped into Victor, who immediately stopped to greet her with a warm smile.
"Ms. Jowett, you're here to celebrate Mr. Goddard's birthday, I presume? I was chatting with Mr. Yarwood a few days ago about some legal matters, and he mentioned he was throwing a party for him here tonight. I was actually just planning to drop by and wish him a happy birthday."
Winona smiled. "Yes, I am."
Overhearing their exchange, Yulen's jaw tightened.
Back when they were deeply in love, Winona had always made his birthdays a massive priority.
Because he always had his birthday dinners at the Locke Villa, she would go over early, helping the housekeepers prep the meals and personally decorating the house for the party.
Now, she had completely forgotten that his birthday was also this week.
Yulen stepped forward to greet Victor, but per the strict instructions of Mr. Powell and Wynne, Victor treated him with icy indifference.
Sensing an opportunity, Tallulah chimed in. "Since we know it's Mr. Goddard's birthday today, we should absolutely go over and celebrate with him."
She grabbed Yulen's arm and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Don't you agree, Yulen?"
Winona had absolutely no desire to let these two ruin the vibe, but Yulen and Tallulah stuck to them like glue, following right behind them down the hall.
Pushing open the door to the private suite, Winona immediately spotted Stefan sitting in the center. Her expression softened instantly, and she walked over, naturally taking the seat right beside him.
Stefan raised an eyebrow in mild surprise when he saw Victor walk in, flanked closely by Yulen and Tallulah.
