"Didn't Ophelia take a knife for you?" Glenda suggested smoothly. "Put her in a wheelchair and have her pretend to be crippled for a while. Then, bring her into your home so you can personally take care of her.
"No matter how stubborn Stefan is, he eventually has to come home. They grew up together. Seeing her in that state, do you really think he won't feel a shred of pity? Even if they don’t get married right away, do you think the woman he's currently with is just going to sit back and watch him dote on Ophelia? Women are inherently jealous creatures. Isn't this exactly how you drove out Freda Aston back in the day?"
Margaret thought back to her past. Back then, Freda had a fiery, uncompromising personality. By feigning illness and playing the frail, delicate victim, Margaret successfully stole Gabriel away.
But Stefan was nothing like his father. Would a trick like this really work on him?

At the Locke family's welcome banquet, Willow carried her grandson around the room, an incredibly satisfied smile plastered across her face.
Most of the women in her social circle had become grandmothers years ago. It was only her Yulen who had been pointlessly delayed by Winona for so long. Sure, Tallulah had her flaws, but she had delivered a male heir and possessed the networking skills to bring lucrative projects to the company. That was enough for Willow to begrudgingly accept her as a daughter-in-law.
Dripping in diamonds, Tallulah flitted through the banquet hall like a social butterfly, warmly greeting all the relatives.
Soaking up their endless compliments, her ego soared. The only downside was that Yulen was still stuck in a major executive meeting and hadn't arrived to stand by her side.
Furthermore, because this was an exclusive event, only close relatives and intimate friends had been invited. There simply weren't enough eyes to witness her ultimate triumph.
Leaning in, she whispered to her assistant, "The second Winona arrives, start the livestream. I’m going to carry my son onto that stage and officially announce to the world that I am Mrs. Locke."
"Understood," the assistant replied.
With everything set, Tallulah sauntered over to Willow. The moment she approached, she heard several wealthy socialites showering the baby with praise. Her chest swelled with pride.
Just then, the head butler hurried over. "Madam, a gift has just arrived from the matriarch of the Shepherd family in the Capital."
Willow gasped. "Glenda Shepherd?"
Remembering that Tallulah hadn't just secured a massive contract with the Shepherd Group, but had clearly won the matriarch's personal favor, Willow looked at her daughter-in-law in a whole new light.
Taking the baby, Tallulah practically floated up onto the stage.
Below, her assistant instantly pulled out her phone, opened the broadcasting app, and aimed the camera dead center on Tallulah.
Winona found a quiet seat in the back. Seeing Tallulah staring down at her with pure arrogance, she simply raised a single brow.
Flashing a flawless, camera-ready smile, Tallulah addressed the room. "Hello, everyone. I am Tallulah. My health hasn't been the best lately, which is why I haven't been in the public eye.
"Tonight, as Yulen’s wife and the mother of this beautiful child, I want to thank all our family and friends for coming to celebrate his one-month milestone! I know that with all your blessings, he will grow up safe and strong."
Polite applause echoed through the room.
Willow thought the speech was a bit too flashy, but considering Tallulah had brought the powerful Shepherds into their orbit, she kept her mouth shut.
Meanwhile, Tallulah's assistant had already purchased the top trending hashtags.
