The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 410

Forget it, she thought. I'll see everything when he comes out anyway.

After a passionate session.

A fine sheen of sweat coated Winona's forehead.

Stefan emerged from beneath the covers and pressed his lips softly against her ear, his warm breath sending shivers down her spine.

Compared to his intense lack of restraint just moments ago, his kisses were now impossibly tender.

Winona let out a tired yawn and murmured, "I have an early meeting tomorrow. If my alarm doesn't wake me, you have to get me up."

"I will."

The next morning, Winona was woken up by soft kisses.

She touched her ear, totally baffled. Why was he so obsessed with kissing her ears?

When she walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror, she noticed the faint, undeniable bite marks across the shell of her ear. She sighed.

Looks like she had to wear her hair down today.

After getting dressed, she walked out to the kitchen island for breakfast. "No more biting my ears."

Stefan chuckled. "Should I switch to your lips then?"

He loved kissing her.

He did it so frequently that once, her lips had been noticeably swollen. Thank God it was the weekend; otherwise, she would've died of embarrassment going to the office.

Between her lips and her ears, Winona chose her ears.

"Actually... stick to the ears."

Stefan picked up her hand and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. "To be honest, I like it here, too. I like every part of you."

Hearing such smooth lines from a man who looked like a literal Greek god would make any woman's heart skip a beat.

Winona sighed, trying her hardest to look stern. "Eat your breakfast. We have to go to work."

At noon, Winona received a text from Roxana Goddard.

"I mailed my brother a massive box of romance novels and manga a while ago. No idea if he actually read them, but how's he doing in the boyfriend department? If his performance is lacking, I'll force him to study harder."

Winona stared at her screen in stunned silence.

No wonder Stefan's romantic lines were getting so dangerously good. He was actually studying!

For an entire week, Willow and Paige didn't dare set foot outside the house because of the putrid stench clinging to them.

Yulen, however, had to go to the office.

He went to a doctor, but the doctor was useless, saying he just had to wait for the smell to fade.

Desperate to mask it, Yulen practically bathed in cologne, but every time he walked through the company doors, he could feel the disgusted, pitying stares of his employees.

Not a single piece of good news all day.

When he finally went home after work and took off his jacket, Tallulah quickly stepped up, acting like the perfect, gentle wife to take it from him.

She breathed a quiet sigh of relief—the smell was finally gone.

"Yulen, dinner is ready. Let's eat together?"

He nodded and sat at the dining table with her.

Seeing that he didn't even try to pull out her chair or check on her pregnancy, Tallulah felt a twinge of resentment.

"Did the HSV-121 project run into issues?" Yulen asked coldly. "When will it be fixed?"

Tallulah felt even more slighted. He didn't care about her at all, only the company.

But she didn't dare show her frustration. Keeping her expression perfectly calm, she promised, "It'll be fixed very soon. Yulen, I promise you, there won't be any problems with our project."

Yulen irritably loosened his tie.

"Let's hope so."

They had poured a massive amount of capital into this drug. If it failed, the fallout would be catastrophic.

He forced down a few bites before losing his appetite completely, getting up and heading straight for his study.

Biting her lip, Tallulah went back to their bedroom and immediately dialed Tanner Yates.
