"A massive corporation like Goddard Group is blatantly ripping off a local Riverton business like Locke Group! They stole the competition format, and now their contestants are stealing proposals and defense speeches? Absolutely shameless!"
"Locke Group has always been an honest, dedicated pharmaceutical company. They're a reliable, local business with integrity. Goddard Group isn't even a legacy pharma brand—they're just pivoting to R&D to grab cash, and they have zero corporate responsibility! Copying everything in sight... it's just disgusting, cold-blooded capitalist behavior."
Reading the flood of toxic comments, Nolan Archer let out a dark, humorless laugh. Did Locke Group really think they could unleash a troll army and bully Goddard Group into submission? He exchanged a sharp look with Mr. Gage, who gave a firm nod in response.
Immediately, Gage pulled out his phone and ordered their own PR department to deploy counter-moderators into both livestreams.
Meanwhile, Camille Locke was out of town on a business trip. After a grueling morning of meetings, she finally checked her phone, only to see her corporate chats buzzing with confusion about a competition livestream.
*Since when did Locke Group do livestreams for competitions?* she thought, utterly bewildered.
She clicked the link and her blood instantly boiled. Tallulah, that absolute idiot, was provoking Goddard Group again. If Tallulah didn't care about her own reputation, Camille certainly cared about the company's!
She dialed her Marketing Director, ordering him to pull the plug on the stream and call off the bots immediately.
The director sounded stressed. "Vice President Locke, Ms. Shipley didn't use our internal marketing team for this. She hired an external broadcast crew, and she paid for the bot farms out of her own pocket."
Camille's face turned livid. She tried calling Tallulah, but the calls went straight to voicemail. Left with no other choice, she called Yulen.
Yulen had just wrapped up a grueling two-hour meeting. A major project in the Capital had hit a snag, and he was supposed to fly out immediately to smooth things over with the client. When he saw his sister calling, he answered with obvious impatience.
"Camille, whatever it is, just text me. I'm swamped and I have a flight to catch to the Capital."
Camille scoffed coldly. "Cancel the flight. You need to go clean up Tallulah's mess first."
"What mess?"
Over in Goddard's stream, their own PR team began clashing with Locke's paid trolls. Since Goddard had timestamped proof that their competition was announced weeks prior, the accusations of format theft crumbled instantly.
Realizing that angle was dead, Locke's bots pivoted hard. "Fine, maybe the formats are similar, but Goddard's contestant, Cole Lennox, absolutely copied Tanner Yates! How can Goddard allow a cheating dog like that to compete? Give us an explanation!"
"Cole is just an undergrad with zero project experience! Tanner is a PhD who has been a core researcher on three national-level projects and two international collaborations! Tanner's work is incredibly mature and complex. There is absolutely no way a kid like Cole could produce something like this. It's obvious who copied who!"
Nolan's expression darkened. He leaned in and whispered to Winona, "I've reviewed Cole's resume. He's been at the top of his class his entire academic career. He hasn't done internships because he's been focused on prepping for grad school. I even spoke with his professors—the kid has impeccable character. He would never plagiarize."
Winona's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Trying to use academic titles and resumes to prove originality? Tallulah is so painfully shallow."
On stage, Cole and his team were so focused that they hadn't even realized the chat was actively tearing them apart.
