The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 348

Winona didn't hesitate. "My plan is to proceed with the lawsuit."

Nolan exhaled a breath of relief. "Good. We're also officially terminating our contract with the Locke Group and demanding full payment for the breach of contract penalties."

Winona nodded, then asked, "If Yulen is determined to protect Tallulah, are we out of options?"

"The Locke Group has aggressive lawyers, but the Goddard Group's legal team is terrifying," Nolan assured her. "Besides, the evidence is ironclad. Our chances of winning are extremely high."

Satisfied, Winona thanked him and left his office.

That evening, as she was packing up to leave, she received a call from Victor Clark at the Powell Group.

"Winona, we've hit a snag with the project. I need you to come take a look at it with our R&D team."

Originally, Winona had only helped the Locke Group secure the Powell contract because Camille had paid her a handsome consulting fee.

But after everything Tallulah had done to her, she had zero intention of lifting another finger for the Locke family.

She answered plainly, "Victor, I've officially parted ways with the Locke Group. I only stepped in to secure that partnership for personal reasons. I'm no longer doing any work for them. From now on, if there's an issue with the project, you'll need to contact Camille directly."

Victor was stunned.

The primary reason he had signed the contract with the Locke Group was because he recognized Winona's exceptional talent in R&D.

If Winona wasn't leading the project, the rest of the Locke Group's R&D staff didn't even come close to her level. Every minor issue would result in endless delays, dragging the entire timeline down.

If that was the case, there was no point in continuing the partnership with the Locke Group at all.

He quickly made a counteroffer. "If the Powell Group terminates our contract with the Locke Group entirely, would you be willing to consult for us directly? I'll draft a personal contract for you and pay you significantly above market rate."

As long as it had absolutely nothing to do with the Locke family, Winona was more than happy to oblige. "It's a deal."

Her blood boiled. She genuinely wanted to find Tallulah and slap her all over again.

That night, Camille returned to the Locke Villa for dinner.

Seeing the murderous glare Camille was shooting her, Tallulah played sick and scurried back to her bedroom in terror.

Yulen noticed his sister's mood. "Camille, did something else go wrong at work?"

He had spent the entire day in back-to-back virtual meetings with clients in the Capital and was just now getting a chance to breathe. The last thing he needed was another crisis.

Camille sneered. "Thanks to your precious Tallulah, we didn't just lose the Goddard contract. The Powell Group just dumped us too."

If Tallulah hadn't framed Winona, Winona wouldn't have washed her hands of them so completely.
