When they arrived at the villa, Ezra and the other bodyguards were immediately blocked at the gate by Yulen's private security team.
Ezra scowled. Unable to stay by Winona's side, he immediately tried to call Stefan. But the call wouldn't connect.
"What now?" Waldo asked nervously. "Our boss specifically ordered us to stick to her like glue. But we can't even get through the front door. That Yulen guy is clearly toxic. She's going to be in danger if she stays in there with him."
"We stay right here and watch the gate," Ezra decided grimly. "Something might have happened on our boss's end..."

Inside the sprawling villa, Yulen smoothly ordered the private chef to start preparing lunch.
He turned to Winona with a warm, solicitous smile. "You definitely haven't had a proper shower in that hospital bed. Do you want me to help you wash up?"
"No," she replied icily. "My nurse will assist me."
Yulen didn't push it, acting perfectly understanding. "Alright. I'll go grab your clothes for you. Since we just moved in, I'm sure the staff has no idea where your things are unpacked."
Watching the painfully awkward exchange between them, Nikita's eyes filled with deep concern.
Winona wheeled herself into the massive en-suite bathroom attached to the master bedroom. Spotting his razors and cologne arranged neatly alongside her skincare products, she felt a suffocating weight drop onto her chest.
He was fully intending for them to share a bedroom.
But today, Yulen had sat her down and tearfully confessed that Winona had forced a separation six months ago because she was obsessed with this billionaire, Mr. Goddard. He claimed he had spent the last half-year desperately trying to win his wife back, but she refused to even look at him. He painted a tragic picture of a dangerous, wealthy family, claiming Winona kept getting severely injured by this billionaire's jealous mistresses, and that he simply couldn't sit back and watch her destroy herself anymore. He had begged Nikita to step in and save their marriage.
Hearing the sheer scale of the lies Yulen had spun, Winona's jaw dropped. She was trembling with rage.
He was the one who destroyed their marriage, and now he was playing the victim to gaslight her own grandmother?
Nikita stared down at Winona's heavily casted leg, her eyes welling with tears. "Winona, you have to listen to me. Do not end up like your mother, constantly grasping for things out of your reach. Yulen is a good, decent man. The Locke family is already incredibly wealthy. Marrying him was the luckiest thing that ever happened to you.
"So what if this Mr. Goddard has more money? Do you honestly think a family like that is going to let a divorcee walk through their front doors and marry their son? You'll be throwing away everything for a fantasy and end up with absolutely nothing. You have to appreciate what you have before you lose it forever."
She had always secretly worried that her granddaughter's stunning beauty might end up being a curse. There were too many temptations in the world, and now, it seemed Winona had finally fallen victim to greed.
