With that, she hung up the phone.
Camille let out a frustrated laugh.
Left with no choice, she dialed Mr. Scully to get to the bottom of it.
Mr. Scully's voice was ice-cold over the line. "I expect Locke Group to take this collaboration seriously. Don't just send any random stray off the street. There is no need for that Ms. Jowett to ever return to my building."
Camille opened her mouth but ultimately swallowed the words she wanted to say about Winona's undeniable R&D genius.
She couldn't figure out how Winona had managed to offend Mr. Scully so deeply.
However, since she couldn't send Winona, she would just have to deploy other members of her R&D team.
Thinking about how Tallulah had completely trashed the department, causing several highly skilled developers to jump ship, Camille felt her blood boil all over again.
Fortunately, Yulen had finally found his senses and forced Tallulah to resign.
This was for the best. Now Camille could focus on rebuilding the team.
She called her HR director.
"Have you spoken to Zack Charlton yet? How did it go? Is he willing to join Locke Group?"
Camille had her eye on this recent grad, Zack Charlton. He was young but incredibly gifted, having already published several heavyweight academic papers.
In R&D, raw talent often eclipsed hard work.
The fact that Zack had been accepted into the prestigious Riverton Institute only proved he was a force to be reckoned with.
The HR director sighed. "Zack said he's more interested in studying at the Institute right now and isn't considering corporate positions."
Camille thought for a moment. "Send me his number. I'll talk to him myself."
"Understood."
At the same time, Sylvan was also discussing recruitment with his HR and R&D heads.
"Among the recent graduates, there's a kid named Zack Charlton who's outstanding. However, he joined the Riverton Institute and didn't bother coming in for an interview with us."
Sylvan reviewed Zack's resume and agreed the young man was exceptional. Poaching him would be a huge win.
His eyes scanned Zack's family background, and he raised an impressed eyebrow.

Through a mutual friend's connection, Camille managed to invite Zack out for dinner.
Coincidentally, Sylvan also secured a dinner meeting with Zack by pulling strings with Zack's father.
Sylvan smiled. "If your goal is to refine your skills, that's easy. Scully Group partners with numerous top-tier overseas labs. We can arrange an all-expenses-paid fellowship for you abroad."
Camille chimed in, "Our team also offers plenty of opportunities for international training."
Zack couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Sheldon had already added him to a private group chat. Now, the absolute top-tier domestic R&D legends—like Mr. Harper and Mr. White—were available to answer his questions anytime.
Why would he care about some random overseas fellowship?
Besides, in his mind, going abroad couldn't compare to learning directly from Winona.
Bored, he leaned back. "You two can save your breath. I really don't want to jump ship. I only showed up tonight because my elders asked me to give you face."
Seeing his ironclad resolve, Camille and Sylvan both felt a wave of disappointment.
Still, they both slid their business cards across the table, urging him to keep his options open.
Zack gave a perfunctory nod.

Tonight was her cousin's birthday, so Winona brought Nikita, Helena, and Greta to a nice restaurant to celebrate.
