Winona strolled out of the front doors, watching the chaotic scene unfold with a gaze full of cold mockery.
Seeing that look in her eyes felt like a hand crushing Yulen's heart.
He wanted to run to her, to explain, but Tallulah suddenly went limp, passing out against the leather seats.
Out of time and options, Yulen jumped into the back seat and shouted at the driver, "Go! To the ER, now!"
Winona had known from the start that he would leave with Tallulah.
When push came to shove, Tallulah and the baby were his true priorities.
Once upon a time, that realization might have broken her heart, but today? She felt absolutely nothing. She had moved on.
Whatever choices Yulen made no longer had anything to do with her.

At the hospital, Tallulah was rushed into the emergency room.
In the hallway, Willow laid into Yulen. "What the hell is wrong with you? Tallulah is bleeding out, and you were trying to run after that bitch? If it wasn't for Winona, Tallulah wouldn't have even fallen!"
Yulen stared blankly at the floor, completely zoned out.
Infuriated by his silence, Willow snapped, "Are you deaf? Answer me!"
Yulen snapped back to reality, shooting his mother an exhausted, bitter look. "Mom, you need to stop blaming Winona for everything. Every time you mistreat her, she takes it out on me. The reason she's been fighting with me so much lately is entirely because of how you treat her."
Willow stared at him, her jaw dropping in disbelief.
Her own son was blaming her for this mess.
She rolled her eyes violently and crossed her arms, refusing to speak to him for the rest of the wait.
Yulen slumped onto the plastic hospital chairs, pulled out his phone, and dialed Winona's number.
No answer.
He tried again. Still nothing.
He violently ran a hand through his hair, his chest tight with anxiety.
Half an hour later, the doctor wheeled Tallulah out of the ER and into a private room.
Seeing how pale and fragile she looked against the white sheets, a flicker of guilt crossed Yulen's face.
Willow rode back to the Locke Villa in Yulen's car.
Seeing how erratic her son was acting, she couldn't hold her tongue. "Yulen, what you did today broke that girl's heart. She is the mother of your child."
Yulen massaged his temples, a headache pounding behind his eyes.
"Mom, I am exhausted trying to mediate between the two of them. Just leave me alone."
His head was a mess.
But one thing was crystal clear: his absolute top priority was getting Winona back.
As for Tallulah? He had made her his legal wife, and he was letting her have his child. As far as he was concerned, he had given her more than enough. If she had any sense, she would realize her place and stop causing trouble.
Seeing how ragged her son looked, Willow swallowed her complaints and stayed quiet.
But as she stared out the window, the image of Winona's arrogant, mocking face burned in her mind. Her hatred for the girl had reached a boiling point.
She would let it go for now, for Yulen's sake.
But she had a long memory. There would definitely be a chance to destroy Winona later.
