The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 878
Holding Anne tightly, the knot of tension in Felicia's chest finally loosened.
She pulled back slightly, cradling Anne's small face in her hands. "Why didn't you tell Mommy you were sick?"
Anne looked at her and mumbled, "I didn't want Mommy to worry."
Felicia gently stroked her soft hair. "I was even more worried when I couldn't reach you."
"Then I am sorry, Mommy," Anne apologized softly.
Sensing her daughter's underlying insecurity, a wave of bitter ache swelled in Felicia's heart. Her voice tightened despite her best efforts. "You have nothing to be sorry for, sweetheart."
Max stood quietly to the side, watching the mother and daughter. Tatiana's expression, however, was exceedingly sour.
"Daddy," Anne called out.
Max reached over and lifted his daughter into his arms. "It is good that you are okay. What did you have for dinner?"
Anne detailed everything she had eaten, then asked, "Have you and Mommy eaten yet?"
Max glanced at Felicia, who looked back at him. Setting Anne down, he turned to Tatiana. "Mom, change Anne out of her hospital gown. We are going to take her out for dinner and bring her back later."
Tatiana looked at her son. Ultimately swallowing whatever objections she had, she helped Anne change clothes. "Bring her back safely," she warned.
"I will," Max replied.
Anne waved her little hand. "Bye bye, Grandma."
Max carried Anne out of the room, with Felicia following closely behind.
Once they left the hospital and got into the car, Max turned to Felicia. "What do you want to eat?"
"Anything is fine," Felicia replied softly.
They ended up at a restaurant inside a nearby hotel.
After ordering their meals, Max ordered a small slice of cake for Anne. "Since you already had dinner, just eat a little bit," he instructed gently.
Anyone looking at them would see a picture-perfect, happy family.
They soon crossed paths with a tourist family. The father was holding his daughter while the mother directed them with a camera. "Honey, step a little to the left. Yes! Baby, look over here... cheese!"

The photo was taken, and the woman looked pleased. Glancing around, she noticed Max and Felicia walking toward them. Startled by the striking attractiveness of the couple, she approached Felicia. "Excuse me, could you help us take a family photo?"
Felicia didn't refuse. She took the camera from the woman. "Sure."
The woman jogged over to her husband and daughter, linking her arm intimately through his and tilting her head toward him. The husband held their daughter, a bright smile on his face. They radiated marital bliss.
Felicia found a good angle and snapped several photos in quick succession.
Max waited patiently on the sidelines, holding Anne's hand.
Once she was done, the woman walked back over. Felicia handed over the camera. "I am not great at taking pictures. Is this okay?"

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
