Ivy took the initiative to invite Felicia to bake a blueberry cake together, and Felicia readily agreed. "Alright," Felicia said, turning to Jeremy. "Are you going to join us?"
"I think I will pass," Jeremy replied smoothly. "I will just enjoy your handiwork later."
"Sounds good."
The two women headed into the kitchen. Ivy knew how to bake, and Felicia assisted her. As Felicia was cleaning the blueberries, she suddenly asked, "Ivy, do you have feelings for Jeremy?"
Ivy hands froze in the dough. She turned to look at Felicia, her voice faltering slightly. "Why... why would you ask that all of a sudden?"
Felicia offered a gentle smile. "Do not be nervous. I was just asking because you were making it quite obvious earlier."
In the blueberry orchard, Felicia had noticed Ivy stealing glances at Jeremy. Whenever their eyes accidentally met, Ivy would instinctively look away. When Jeremy offered to carry her basket, Felicia could clearly feel the tension radiating from Ivy body as they linked arms. Although Ivy appeared calm on the surface, Felicia female intuition told her that Ivy was deeply infatuated with him.
Ivy slowly lowered her eyes, her hands tense in the dough. Fortunately, Felicia did not remember anything right now, so the situation was not entirely embarrassing. Sensing her discomfort, Felicia softened her tone. "I am sorry. Maybe I should not have said that."
She was not clear on the exact nature of Ivy and Jeremy relationship right now. They definitely knew each other, but perhaps they were not that close yet. Ivy shook her head slightly. "No, it is fine." She paused before admitting, "I do admire Mr. Milman, but we are not very close. It is just an unrequited affection on my part."
Felicia curved her lips upward. "You are so beautiful. If you took a little initiative, you might just have a chance."
A faint blush immediately crept up Ivy ears. Her voice laced with shyness, she murmured, "Being beautiful does not guarantee a chance. Mr. Milman is not that superficial."

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
