"Aren't you being far too domineering? Have you ever once considered what Willa actually wants?" Felicia challenged.
Jeffrey's expression did not change in the slightest. "She is young. There are certain things she simply does not understand."
Felicia let out a mocking laugh. "Young? Willa is an adult, isn't she? Does she not have the right to make her own choices? You want to keep her trapped by your side like a caged bird and break her wings. Aren't you doing all this just to satisfy your own selfish desires?"
"I am not here to listen to your lectures. If you are unwilling to help, I won't force you," Jeffrey replied coolly.
With that, the man stood up. Just as he turned to leave, he paused and spoke again. "Then please do me a favor and pass a message to Max. Tell him that if he can't even sort out his own mess, he should stop meddling in other people's affairs."
Felicia looked up at him in surprise. Jeffrey strode out of the living room without another word. She withdrew her gaze, her expression slowly turning grave. After a long moment, she picked up her phone and dialed Luke's number.
The call connected quickly. "Felicia," Luke's voice came through the speaker.
"Luke, Ivy mentioned that you're in Northwick accompanying Willa for her eye treatment," Felicia started.
Luke hummed in acknowledgment. "What is it?"
"How is she doing now?" Felicia asked.
"She is still undergoing treatment. Her vision is blurry, and she needs more time to recover, but she is currently in good spirits," Luke explained.
"That's good to hear," Felicia said.
"Are you planning to stay in the Capital for now?" Luke inquired. He had seen the chatter in their group messages and knew she was back in the city.
"I'll be staying here for the time being," Felicia confirmed.
"It's best if you stay at your family home. Living out there by yourself is always inconvenient," Luke advised gently.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...

It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
