The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 77

There were rivals inside the university and out.

And these guys were openly making their moves right in front of Ms. Mercer.

Unlike them, who had to sneak around to avoid being seen.

Chuck ruthlessly kicked him. "Get lost."

Miles swiftly dodged with practiced ease.

Hearing Juliana so eagerly promote her son, Sebastian stepped in, his tone impeccably polite. "Mrs. Sherwood, they're both adults. There are plenty of ways for them to meet people if they want to."

Meaning: there was no need to force a matchmaking session.

Miles silently cheered for Sebastian in the shadows. What a legend.

The group headed to a nearby restaurant.

On the way, Sebastian walked alongside Juno and gave her a brief rundown of the Sherwood family's situation.

Juno rubbed her wrist thoughtfully. "The power gap between the Corringtons and the Sherwoods is massive now. How do two families like that even sit at the same table?"

It sounded harsh, but it was the reality.

Sebastian didn't deny it. "Back when Grandma first started the business, the old Mr. Sherwood helped us out a lot. As the Corrington family rose, the Sherwood family began to decline. We have to repay that kindness, so naturally, we look out for them.

But even with our backing, some people in our circle still look down on them."

Juno nodded in understanding.

Meanwhile, in another car.

Shane spoke in a gentle but firm tone. "Mom, Rhiannon and I grew up together. No matter how much you like Juno, you can't just forcefully push us together like that."

"It was just a casual suggestion. If you don't like it, I'll drop it."

Juliana was reasonable and didn't push the issue.

Shane was left slightly speechless.

When they arrived at the hotel, Juliana let out an impressed sigh. "The Corrington family is doing better and better these days."

The Tengo Hotel's interior was opulent, every corner practically dripping with wealth. It was a staggering display of luxury.

Gwendolyn affectionately hooked her arm through Juliana's. "Don't be a stranger."

The group walked inside in small clusters.

Juno trailed at the very back, enjoying the quiet.

Sebastian eventually slowed his pace to walk beside her.

"Your advisor called your guardian today."

Juno looked surprised. "You went?"
