The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 78

Rhiannon stood up immediately. "I need to go too. Let's walk together."

Juliana smiled warmly. "Alright."

As they left the private room and headed down the hall, a heavily dressed, opulent woman approached from the opposite direction.

Before Juliana even looked up, the woman's mocking voice rang out.

"Well, well. I saw someone from afar who looked just like Juliana, and up close, it really is you."

The smile faded from Juliana's face. "What a coincidence."

The woman raised an eyebrow. "Indeed. After all, the Corringtons' hotel isn't a place just anyone can walk into. And the girl next to you—that's the Corrington family's daughter, isn't it? No wonder you're here."

Being singled out, Rhiannon offered a polite smile.

The woman gave her an approving look. "Such a well-mannered girl. Though spending your time with Juliana seems like a bit of a waste. We should go out together sometime."

Not wanting to refuse, Rhiannon offered a slight nod.

The fact that they were behaving like this right in front of Juliana felt like a slap to her face.

"I'm Gilda Galloway."

Rhiannon greeted her politely. "Ms. Galloway."

Gilda looked immensely satisfied. Without another word, she brushed past Juliana and walked away.

Only after Gilda was out of earshot did Rhiannon turn to comfort Juliana. "Are you alright, Mrs. Sherwood?"

Juliana forced a tight smile. "I'm fine."

Rhiannon could tell she was upset, but she didn't say anything more. Juliana's influence wasn't that important to her anyway.

When Juliana returned to the room, she looked completely drained of energy.

Sunday arrived.

Juno appeared punctually at the Sherwood estate.

The butler escorted her inside, where she found Juliana looking rather lethargic.

Everything she did seemed to lack energy.

"I'm so sorry, Juno. I know I was the one who invited you, but I just don't think I'm up to going today."
