How could there be such ungrateful trash in the world?
"Juno Mercer, let go of me! Do you think shaving my head makes you right?!"
Realizing she couldn't break free, Faye Ashworth stopped struggling and instead used her free hand to yank the wig right off her head.
A completely bald, slightly shiny scalp was instantly exposed to everyone's eyes.
The crowd gasped.
No one took out their phones to record. They at least had that much decency.
Juno tightened her grip, pressing Faye's face firmly against the wall. "Playing the victim, are we?"
Fights were strictly forbidden on the Northbridge University campus, but Juno couldn't care less.
"Juno! You have no shame! How did a piece of trash like you even get into Northbridge?! How much money did Gerda throw at them?!"
Juno ignored her and shoved her straight to the floor.
Faye let out a muffled groan. Before she even had the chance to sit up, Juno planted her foot firmly on her ankle.
She was so tense she forgot to breathe.
Juno was simply resting her foot there without applying actual pressure, but to the onlookers, it looked like an act of pure arrogance.
Rhiannon Corrington couldn't watch any longer. She ran over. "Juno, stop it! Faye was just acting out of anger. Don't stoop to her level."
She looked anxious. "Hurry up and move your foot. The basketball game is about to start. Are you intentionally trying to injure her so she can't play?
I know the Computer Science Department isn't as skilled, but you don't have to play this dirty, do you?!"
Those few words completely twisted the narrative.
In reality, the International Trade Department had been thoroughly dominated by the CS Department, barely scraping their way into the semi-finals.
But now, Rhiannon made it sound like the CS Department was resorting to underhanded tricks.
The CS girls standing nearby flared up in anger.
Who the hell did Rhiannon think she was?
It was infuriating.
